Administrator CGC Mike Posted February 11 Author Administrator Share Posted February 11 This round is closed. I would like to thank everyone for all of the kind words via PM or in the threads. They are much appreciated. While I am strictly business when I reply to everyone's PM,s, I do enjoy the various commentary's posted with the grades. This was an interesting contest for sure. GA books might be hard for some collectors. I was told we could have a mixed age selection of books for the next contest. Anyhow, it's time for the reveal, and it will be um quite shocking. I had no part in choosing the books for each round. It has always been this way. So, when I post the books, keep that in mind. I will also post the graders notes. The results thread will hopefully be tomorrow. I have never calculated grades so, the top participants will be a surprise to me as well. I see I currently have 20 PM's so, that will keep me busy for a while.

GawkHawk
Another tough round. One bullseye and 6 points total. That's 20 total for the four rounds which at least was an improvement from the last contest. CJ Design and ADAMANTIUM
Popular Post AJD
3 points for me. I figured they were all the same grade and thought 4.5 most likely, but bought 'insurance' by grading two of them a notch higher. ADAMANTIUM
Kept it under 10, which is my past usual. That start to finish was glorious though, if only in my mind Edited February 11 by ADAMANTIUM frozentundraguy and CJ Design
AbsoluteCarnage
From 15 to 23 I go. No wonder Mike offered popcorn emoji Grats to all that did good and to those that came top 3. You guys deserve it! Popular Post boron
5 bulls this round - I initially had them clustered around 5.0 - the switched them to all to 5. (I lost the tie-breaker last year which I had at something like 4.5, 5.0,5.5, but they all ended up as 5.0s). This contest I went 5,11 (4 under-graded),11 (all over-graded), 0 for the four rounds. I suspected it so strongly that I initially gave all the comics a 5.0. That was a mistake obviously, and led to my worst score of the contest. And then you did it on the next round instead! Arg! Popular Post JollyComics
My score has been monotonous. Round 1 - 5 pts 1 bullseye Round 2 - 5 pts 1 bullseye Round 3 - 6 pts no bullseye Round 4 - 6 pts 1 bullseye At least 2 points on one book each round but I think those grades are criminally overgraded.
