Picked up a stack of Artesia panel pages by Mark Smylie (this is the best, most intelligent series that you are not reading - go check it out at www.artesiaonline.com), as well as this, the upcoming wraparound cover to Artesia Besieged #2:

OK, so my collection isn't terribly diverse (as Jonathan so eloquently pointed out with his shocked response to my actually purchasing something OTHER than Fables), but I know what I like...and so that makes shopping a bit easier. :-)

Here are a few Fables pages I picked up at SDCC this past weekend...

Rose Red and Snow White...and a fantastic chicken!

the plot thickens...(page 1)

the plot thickens, page 2...

the plot thickens...page 3

great Snow White/Rose Red page...with a flashback to childhood!

Got this a while ago, but I haven't posted it yet.

It's the cover painting to Red Sonja Vs. Thulsa Doom #3 by Dell'Otto:

Goes well with cover to #2 that I got shortly before:

A couple of SDCC pick-ups...

A beautiful two page splash by Tucci. This is from the Liberty Girl story in the back of Anthem #3

Steve Rude was doing water colors this year and this is one I was lucky enough to request.

Those Dell'Otto covers are amazing and the pair together are definitely much greater than the sum of the parts. 893applaud-thumb.gifthumbsup2.gif

I'm currently working on getting the covers from a short story arc and can't wait to have them displayed together on the wall

Alhough they are great pieces on their own, I agree that they're just that much nicer as a pair and I knew that I had to have both. I think what makes them great as a pair is that they're 2 completely different depictions of the same battle. All 4 in the series are battle covers, but 1 and 4 have similar color schemes. I plan on keeping these 2 together for a VERY long time.

Good luck with your covers, as its' always great to have a couple from the same series side by side.

I just picked it up today!

Its a recreation of sorts of the cover to Superman Vs Spiderman Dy Dave Ross.

I asked him to recreate cover how he saw fit.

Its just pencils but I think it looks great that way.

I'd like to find just ONE nice Fables page.

Well, one nice Fables page that isn't in Cort's collection anyway. :-P

Great batch of pages. Love the ones with the Adversary and that last one with "Red" and the wooden soldiers is great.

I know it's not comic OA but I haven't been running into much I want (or can afford) recently, so I branched out a bit. Picked up one of my namesake Garbage Pail Kids recently. To keep it semi-topical, artist John Pound did do some MAD and comics work in the past.
