MadGenius
I just watched the video. Very interesting. I have some questions: How is it that there was a mix of Silver (pre-1975) and Bronze/Copper Age books (post 1975) in the same submission? Are the two Secret Wars #8 9.9s coded as 9.8s on the census really 9.9s or were they always supposed to be 9.8s? If these grades are all legit, is 9.9 the new 9.8? brute_nm, RockMyAmadeus, electricprune and 1 other

If CGC is to have any shred of legitimacy, the submitter needs to come forward. They won't of course, because it's probably someone at Heritage, or its another CGC employee running a scam. These are very, very good questions. I also can't imagine CGC is pleased with how people are reverse engineering their cert numbering system to get the level of transparency we have here with questionable customer orders. So instead of getting $20-25 per book, they can give it a 9.9 and get $250-300 per book (SW8 9.9 FMV is currently around $6000-8000). Lightning55
There was a thread recently where the OP got multiple 9.9's and a 10 or two on his 1990 Spider-man 1 silver editions in the same submission. I can't find the thread to link to it.

Old Fashion PB and J
That is insanely suspect. I have subbed a few hundred books (probably close to 800-1,000) and received 1 9.9 and that was a Batman prestige edition.. jcjames
Popular Post Timed
Another concerning aspect... I've never heard of someone submitting Dazzler 1/SW 8 on high value or unlimited tier. Makes you wonder, were they submitted under a higher tier to get the books in the hands of a specific person? Modern tier has the most graders, and newer graders. djzombi, brute_nm, electricprune and 6 others 4 3
