I'd say that I owe luck a beer, as I nearly WASN'T in the right place at the right time. Luck plays such a huge part in finding cool books! Congrats on wrangling up a copy! As I understand it, these late run Fox books are some of the toughest.

Thanks Gino! It's kinda crazy, as I had pretty much given up collecting the superhero Fox books due to rarity and cost, so I sold what I had (well, I might have a Green Mask laying around) and resigned myself to just enjoying the copies my buddies have. I guess you never know what's going to be in the next box you look thru.

Back in the day, I used to find stuff like that in “Misc Golden Age” boxes. I even found several un-noted SF collection books in boxes at WonderCon. That ship has long sailed though. Cool book, Congrats!

 I tried this a couple times.

But they didn't understand how convenient it would be to store the books at my place and used triggering words like "burglary" and "theft".

Thanks, and WOW!!! I've found maybe one Frisco in the wild that wasn't called out as such but was priced high due to its condition. I HAVE found a few Friscos and Big Apple copies in friend's collections that they didn't know were pedigrees! Yeah, the days of finding rare comics for practically nothing are virtually gone. I DID find a superhero era Super-Mystery for $40 amongst a bunch of inexpensive newer books at a Half Price Books a few years ago! So, I still look. Ya never know ...

Sheesh, that's rather uncharitable of them! Maybe you guys should rotate who has the books every two days or so. (I saw a Simpsons episode once where Bart and his friends did that with a comic -- admittedly it's been awhile, but I'm pretty sure it had a happy ending.)

One of my All time Favorite books Mystery Men 30 seems to be doing pretty well in the current auction!! Inside back cover for MM30 has a house add for what was supposed to be US Jones but turned into Wonderworld 32

Incredible Gino. Shouldn’t be surprised though as you always have killer GA rarities. I don’t believe I’ve ever seen a WW32. That’s a cool tidbit about US Jones. Thanks for sharing.

As I mentioned earlier, I have very few Fox superhero comics left. One that I remember being gifted from a pal (I think he needed the centerfold) is a coverless, cfo copy of Wonderworld 33, which always eluded me back when I was collecting the Fox books. So, I dug it out and snapped some pics for those curious as to what awaits them between the covers! The color copy cover is just for easy recognition in the box. I took a pic of every splash page (except Yarko, 'cause cfo) and a few interesting ad pages and such, and I will post them in the order you'd see them if you were thumbing thru the comic. Enjoy

Such colors. Seems the interior artwork didn't suffer any in the later issues.  Looking it up It CGc says "Louis Cazeneuve cover and art". He was pretty good, no wonder DC later hired him. So was whoever did the inking. Good stuff.

Thanks for looking that up, I didn't know he did that cover! Louis Cazeneuve and his brother Arturo both did a fair amount of Golden Age artwork without attracting a lot of attention to themselves. In fact, it wasn't until maybe a dozen years ago or so that I'd even heard their names. It's very likely that most collectors have seen their work, without knowing it's their work.

Wonderful stuff, Jimmy! I really enjoy the interiors of the late Fox Super hero books, and this one is no exception. Just wish Flame girl would've gotten her own mag!!

Thanks RJ! With so many of those issues locked away in slabs, I thought some might enjoy seeing the interior! Yeah, Flame Girl was hot!!!
