This shows how much I love funny books! At a local shop recently, I'm going thru the recent acquisitions boxes and see this. I already have a raw copy in my collection, but it's hard to turn this down for the money! It's just missing the first page, otherwise a decent lower grade copy. I thumb thru it, lay down six bucks, he rings it up and hands me back some coins! Yeah, he gave me a discount! You never know what oddity you may find at your local shop!

Thanks! There's a LOT of great stuff in that book, all for the price of a happy meal (maybe the happy meal is more now, I dunno)!!!

I miss my reading run.

I had an entire Kirby reading run from 31-102. I bought the vast majority of them for a dollar or less. Eventually I gave some away; after that, I sold some. All I have left of it are the issues that do not appear in Marvel’s Greatest Comics.

I'm a big Silver Age FF fan and have a few nice copies but, those single digit issues are way beyond my reach.

I've just bought a really nice FF #39 cgc 7.5 in auction at a very keen price. I've always loved this dramatic Jack Kirby cover. Happy Boy !!

They didn't have automatic ink levelers back then, either the ink fountain ran dry, could be a roller setting or the ink ball stopped turning

Curious, on a book like that is there a noticeable difference in color / tanning on the splash page?
