I always like this cover. I think my scanner turned the flesh a little gray compared to these others but it is still pretty good.

I think I'm coming down with the Chesler bug....

 

i did, and as g.a. bugs go, it's a relatively inexpensive one to treat. no huge prices in o'street, and believe it or not, the most expensive book by guide in the whole run is punch 12--more than the first issues of yankee, scoop, punch or dynamic. no book in the global run is anywhere near the overstreet top 100. i had a ball chasing the books, and had the fortune of starting it at the same time tons of crippens were coming out in sun nite auctions. got alot of hi-grade books for great prices.

in fact, looking quickly thru my records, i think i paid more for my 4.5 s.b. punch 12 than for all but one book in my chelser run, this one.

my 5 favorite chesler covers, alphabetically. i think dynamic 8 is cool, but gimmicky--doesn't make my cut.

 

 

dynamic 1. purple & gold. 'nuff said.

 

punch 12 is the best cover of all, one of the best of the g.a., imo.

 

LOVE punch 13; beautifully drawn, great colors, and the artists names are on the headstone--genius.

 

punch 19 just kills me, it is so cool.

 

scoop 2 might be better than it's progenitor, hit 5. so, so pretty.

I noticed that you get get many issues in the GVG range for around $100... really nice copies for $300. Perfect price point for the recession!!
