Grips was white hot for about 3 or 4 months. Kind of a Wolverine ripoff. i can't remember if it was before or after Faust, but I think it was after. Vigil's art is, um, interesting.

From what I researched He was a PRE Faust CREATION.

Daggone it. I am 0 for 2 tonight. :makepoint: But I did learn that Swamp Thing #84, although not written by Neil Gaiman, was Morpheus' 1st appearance outside of Sandman and was issued at the same time as Sandman #3.

Why didn't he catch on?
because kris silver couldn't keep a company running for long. i collect all the comics he published, whenever i can find them for cheap. as a kid he would show up to my small town comic shop with an artist and they would both autograph comics and the artist would give free sketches and let me see the pages he was working on. it was really fun for me since i didn't get to go to sdcc or anything like that ever. i was way too young to be reading his comics but i guess a sale is a sale so he tried his best to get us kids to spend our allowance on greater mercury comics and silverwolf comics. i have a soft spot for them to this day and can't pass a bargain bin without checking to see if any are in it :)

while i'm on the subject, i own a copy of fantastic fables #2 from silverwolf. never released or distributed. the REAL first tim vigil work too. kris silver couldn't pay the printer so they sat in storage for 20 years and the dude recently started selling them on ebay. you can pick one up if you're lucky. most databases will not list the comic since it was never released. i'll get a pic of mine up tomorrow. cameras charging right now

i don't know. there is a silverwolf forum but i don't think it's active at all. i have found great info there though from reading what is already posted. they have a lot of info on "rumored to exist" silverwolf comics that have not been confirmed yet

Actually I going to take it one step further. You can buy Silverwolf comics from the creator himself. Here is the link - http://www.kristoffersilver.com/SilverWolf/index.html

I wanted to buy a few Silverwolf comics about 3 months back but unfortunately he does not ship to Canada. United States only.

SWEET! good site. Thanks for the heads up.

Here is another recommendation. This is a great article to read if you are into Pacific Comics and Dave Stevens.

Love the Starslayer series, and especially the Dave Stevens' Rocketeer issues. But Grimjack is the sub-series that gets passed over and yet deserves more respect. I thought that character had much more potential.

Ya, I remember when Grips came out. It was a big "WTH?!" moment, but a good one! Ultra-violent Wolverine and just darn cool. I sold my Grips and Faust books back in the early 90's before getting out of the hobby unfortunately .. another "possibly buy again" hummmm ...
