jmg3637
I went to a small comic con about a mile from my house in Granada Hills ( San Fernando Valley). Besides trading for 5 of the new Lenticular covers and one very hard to find 3 D from th early 50's, I was able to trade for a pile of Four COlors. between 2 transactions I got about 30 four colors almost half of them under 500 and several under #100 I am glad that terry stroud came, and also glad that 1 grabbed a couble of low grade late gold flashs. Never thought I would be able to trade for a four color 29, but it was missing the main 1/4 of the cover saw a few people I had not seen in years. They had a few models strolling the isles and Chuck Connor's son selling pictures / t-shirts. All in all a very nice way to spend 4 hours dont have scans of today's books, but here are a few more from my Omaha con score
lbcolefan
On vacation this week and already bored so I spent the last hour or so going through all 167 pages. What a great thread. So many books I'd never seen before. Back in the early 90's I started a collection of high grade TV and movie photo covers. I only managed to get around 10-15 copies before I lost interest. Most of them came from Terry Malone. He had a near complete high grade Four Color collection. His books were photographed by Gerber for the Photo Journals. He gave up on completing the run after someone stole a box from his garage. After seeing all these great photo covers I think I'll start trying to pickup some more of them. Here's a couple of pics '

jmg3637
processing the additions to the FOur COlor QUest ends up being quite a process. I almost always end up rebagging the books into silver/gold mylites with acid free boards. I tro to multitask by combining this with scanning the books. I also try to transfer the price grade stickers from the old bags to the new one. This took almost 90 minutes for the 30 additions. I am sitting here now entering the info into my dual tracking spreadsheet and Thank you word document. COmbining that with watching a taped ARROW and reading the boards. Nice comic related day all around. I am up to 833 issues here are a few more from my omaha score
