By looking at the chipping, it appears as if the cover may be brittle.

How would you grade this one?

 

Paper quality on Hulk #1's is notoriously bad, so my assumption is cover is not brittle, just had a few bad run in's and took some scars. So if my assumption is correct, I think CGC could and might give it a VG 4.0, but I call it 3.5 If brittle cover and you know if it is, a 2.5. The structure is tight, staples are fantastic and so is spine on front and back, just some bad Marvel Chipping. I have seen worse get a 4.5 from CGC, so who knows.

From just the back it looks like a 7.0/7.5, but the front cover brings it closer to 3.5 (slight shot of 4.0).

I'd say a 3.0 tops. I own a copy with no chips (except small one on bottom right corner) , a similar spine, tight staples/cover, and similar coloring, and I only received a 3.5

 

The fact that some of you think this book could get a 4.0 makes me think I should re-submit mine!
