I love collecting sealed packs. A neat time capsule of the hobby. I never open mine.

Hi all
I posted this in the Accurate DC Whitman list thread but think it might be more appropriate here. Not anything I collect but I picked up 21 DC Whitman variants. I think they average mid-grade. Not really looking to sell but it was an impulse bid so I am curious if there is any premium for these in this condition. I am almost certain I tremendously overpaid since looking through these threads, nothing seems particularly HTF.
And I am sure it is most likely in this thread but some have the strikethrough UPC code while most have the Superman logo there. Is there a difference in rarity in these?
There’s a bit of premium over the standard versions on those issues. Very nice find!

I saw it last night, too, but it’s not there anymore... huh.
The week this came out I don’t think my local shop got any, but I did find one crammed into my shopping bag from a store sale out of town. Rough shape, and an impractical size... high grade copies might be hard to come by.
Same. Went back to look for it and it’s gone. Weird.

Some have been graded I think. I remember seeing a pic of a 9.4 recently. Update. Can’t see any in the registry

It was a feeble given away at comic shops and it’s believed to have low distribution (I suspect Covid related) Features art from the first issue. Thing is. Book was supposed to be released last week but has been pushed back to late October. They are re-doing the art.

Man. All those Marvel Tales are going to be worth a fortune. “Marvel Tales 106-Rare first cover appearance of the Punisher”

Sales data and print runs are two different things. They could have printed 3000, but only sold 809. The balance could end up in Walmart packs at one point down the road. Look at Symbiote Spider-Man 4 2nd print

I'm sending one in that's a strong candidate for 9.8. Fingers crossed!
Where does your print run data come from? Is that copies sold, or copies printed? Those are two totally different things.

One week’s unwanted variant could become next week’s must have variant. Look at Invincible Iron Man 9. For a while, no one wanted the variant; now; it’s the must have.

Nor are commercials/trailers.
Who collects commercials and trailers and how does this apply to printed media? I agree it's a fringe area, but then again someone paid 3000 for a 9.8 previews that had Miles Morales on the cover. There is no logic to what people are losing their minds over.
