None of mine are that high. The #10 had gotten expensive because it’s a flip book with Avengers Unplugged 5. I actually bought issue 3 off the newsstand back in the day.

Yeah, the indicia has both titles mentioned on both the front and back. Given that the price is on thé Untold Tales side, and the title is listed first and the issue number corresponds with Untold, that tells me it’s the newsstand version of Untold Tales. I suspect they added the flip book so it would be at a certain price point for retailers. I’ve been chasing these forever!

And then I got this one back. These comics have actually bugged me a lot that CGC won't recognize them as variants. Back in the late 90s Marvel had a line of 99cent comics. Two of them were Untold Tales of Spider-Man and Fantastic Four Unplugged. On the newsstand they would combine two of these issues and sell it for $1.95. I submitted and just received back the Untold Tales #5, FF Unplugged #3 issue and there is no mention of the 100% price difference nor that Untold Tales is on the flip side of this book. As far as CGC is concerned, this is just another Fantastic Four Unplugged #3 copy. I guess if I had submitted it with the Spider-Man comic facing out they would have called it just another copy of Untold Tales of Spider-Man. I think they need to recognize these as different (I included the pics of FFUnplugged/UToSpider-Man #1 that I already had that they did the same to).
Those are actually Untold Tales of Spider-Man newsstands. They should never have been labeled as Fantastic Four Unplugged. The Flip books later became Avengers Unplugged and Uncanny Origins.

My thought exactly, but some people in my circles don’t seem to believe that. They think it’s a variant that came out at the same time.

Thundercats #1 1985 star comics is on fire! New animated movie in the works from the director of godzilla vs Kong. Honestly I'm just so happy thundercats roar will not be the last show/movie tie in with this beloved property! It seems the word got out a few hours ago because all cheap copies are gone.
I think this might be the new TMNT Adventures all over again. Let the confusion begin over the printings for newer collectors.

Which series are we referring to? Marvel or Sig?

So is the official chronology:
1st SW8
2nd ASM252
3rd MTU141
Or something different?
ASM 252
PP 90
MTU 141
SW 8 didn't come out until 8 months later

Yeah I forgot that the "they came out on the same day" was debunked a while ago. But, FYI...CGC still lists it as tied with 252.
Other than the census, CGC isn’t a reliable source for information on books IMHO. A lot of collectors do unfortunately because 1) it’s convenient 2) suits the narrative they want to push. They offer a great service that has transformed the hobby, but they aren’t a trusted resource for information.

I still disagree that ASM 252 should be equal to NM98 and UF4 and I can't see changing my opinion, though I'd have a better chance of being swayed on Deadpool because of the sheer number of them out there.
The price of MTU 141 is a fraction of 252 and has 1/4 of the number of 9.8s in the census. Should it be a $2k book too?
No, because it’s the third appearance of the costume

How in the heck did you find that advertisement, and where do you think it is from?
I’m pretty sure it came packed with the set of books that were sold. I spotted this on a local buy and sell site. Had a friend pick them up for me as they were out of town. I’ll share what was in the pack on the weekend when I get them.

It’s like the Invincible Larry’s edition. It’s listed under the first print listing, and a publication date of 1/2003, but when you look at the indicia, thé copyright says 2004.
