  1. Beautiful copy. Love those White pages. Nice centering.
  2. My favorite Superman themed (ie Action, Superman, WF, etc.) post WWII. I've been waiting to find "the right one" to buy for years now and still haven't found it (but the seeking is ofen more fun than the finding). John, my feelings exactly. I recently picked this up in a Clink auction. Not my dream copy but I still enjoy it. They simply are not available very often and when they are it usually is sold quickly.
  3. I know. I was counting on getting interest from buyers who wanted a better copy that the 4.5 on Clink, but could not quite afford the 9.0. Oh well, I should have passed on the bargain to one of you guys. I realize now that I was really being greedy. I was hoping I could have paid for Pierce's delivery, but of course that is not happening. Hopefully, you can forgive me and hopefully I will learn from this The plight of being a selfish human I've said it before and I will say it again, I just don't understand why Boardies don't list their books here first. Besides a fee less transaction you are contributing to our community. I do applaud and thank you for your admission of 'guilt'. He DID list the book here first, when all the threads were running the Sale forum to help him out with the costs of his son who was born prematurely. But everyone here passed on his asking price in his sale thread. And I think he has nothing to apologize for, as he was trying to get the best price for a good cause, rather than simply for the sheer heck of it. I missed all that. My Bad. I agree, there is nothing wrong with trying to get the best price, especially in his situation. He is a good Boardie and I agree he doesn't have anything to apologize for.

  5. I hope I'm not showing off but here's a couple more.......
  6. Probably my favorite personal copy of WW, a hot pink cover with White Pages.
  7. Great book Doc Joe, really great, congrats. Here's a couple of my favorite holdings that you don't see in high grade very often.
  8. Sounds like how I felt after winning a couple Mounds City books, which IMHO, were also graded loose. I wish I had never got involved with that auction.
  9. Not all Silver but a group shot of some of my issue # 100's. I like to collect #100's. Heck, it's cheaper than collecting #1's ! Wings 100 is the Church copy, Green Lantern is the Rocky Mountain, and the Tomahawk is a Mass copy,
  10. The 146 is new and the 170 was from a submission a few months ago. Thought they looked pretty cool, side by side.
  11. I bet this time they secure it with a vertical wedge. I just don't know why they don't use the wedges more often, it really helps protect the book. Speaking from experience these things can be aggravating but CGC always rectifies the problem. Congrats.
  12. That's a tough book to find, high grade and White Pages no less, spectacular book ! Gotta ask, it appears this same book has been on (and still is) on Doug's site.
  13. An incredibly difficult book to find in high grade. Your copy is stunning.
  14. Okay, these were reholders but I just got them back from CGC today. Nothing like a fresh holder to brighten up a book.
  15. My second post in this thread with another perfect transaction. Steve is truly a pleasure to deal with and, agreeing with SUFUNK above, is at the top of the list of the many great sellers on these Boards. Thanks Steve, keep the books coming !
  16. When did they drop the Circle 8 books as a Pedigree ? I have a couple slabbed SA books with C8. I guess this precludes me from ever getting a reholder ! Nice books Green ! I should dig up my Mass Hulk 158 to display but I don't want to get you going.
  17. Though I am a collector, not a dealer, I concur with Roy's observation that the Wonder Woman title itself is more popular than Sensation or All Star. As a WW collector I wanted a WW #1. I have also heard from Dealers that Sensation 1 is a hard sell.
  18. Love the eye appeal and White Pages on these books. Both are very fresh looking. Congrats.
  19. Thanks, yes I did. I bought this many years ago, before CGC existed, and it was disclosed. It's a single, small dot on the spine that bled through. I thought it was a good candidate for Signature Service. I think Plod's look better in the background of a yellow label. My original thought was to sell it but when I received it I really liked it.
  20. That was my original copy, from my personal collection and submitted by me. It's never been in auction.
  21. I apologize for the scan, it's actually the CGC Image that I paid for. I love CGC but they do a lousy job on their imaging. It actually looks much better in hand.
  22. That looks like Roy's old copy. Nice book. I was considering it myself.
  23. An amazing, breathtaking group shot. I am envious beyond belief. Congrats. Just curious, are you finished (as in satisfied) or do you want to upgrade some ? It appears the PQ on all are at least Off White ?
  24. I see a Bone 1 in 9.4 just sold for 737.00 on E-Bay. This follows a sale in February for 750.00 . It appears this book is settling in to this price range ? The 1,000+ days are gone.
