  18. I am going to be posting a number of Copper and Modern slabs and raws over the next few weeks in an attempt to trim down a few long boxes from the comic room. As usual, trumps PMs I have not responded to. I am open to offers on any of the books as well. Shipping for raw books will start at $6 for a bubble padded mailer with interior cardboard protection for up to 3 books, and extra for a small box after that. Shipping for slabbed comics starts at $20 in a small box with tracking and insurance in Canada and the continental USA. Overseas shipping will be charged at the postal rate. Note: Assume that all slabbed books have been pressed. Some I have done myself, others that I bought slabbed are likely pressed as well. Return Policy: No return on slabbed books.
  19. y'all don't seem to realize that the people you're point-counterpointing with on this stuff DON'T think any kind of mess exists. one rated the "ultimate" b v. s at 9.0 on a 10 point scale. he left a single point in there for the godfathers, etc. to reside. We should run those people out of the hobby. How dare anyone say BvS was a good movie.. If you are not a Marvel fanboy that hates all DC movies then your opinion does not count.
  20. He doesn't need BvS for that. He's gotten virtually every major studio to bankroll one of his films at some point. Warner Brothers is lucky to have him, not the opposite. Although they might be re-thinking that after they bankrolled "Live By Night" and it just bombed at the box office. The whole Ben out as Director was likely wanted by both sides based on one simple thing - his track record in that role. According to IMDB, he has been Director of 7 productions: 2018 Witness for the Prosecution (announced) 2016 Live by Night (directed by) - a whopping $19M worldwide so far 2012 Argo - a whopping $232M worldwide but critically acclaimed 2010 The Town - a whopping $154M wordlwide 2008 Gimme Shelter (Video short) 2007 Gone Baby Gone - a whopping $34M worldwide 1993 I Killed My Lesbian Wife, Hung Her on a Meathook, and Now I Have a Three Picture Deal at Disney (Short) The fact is, his track record as a Director (and even a Producer) is spotty when it comes to box office successes. His best successes were basically with Horror franchise film budgets for Horror franchise films returns. While I think he is a great actor, if I were bankrolling a film I would think twice about him as a Director.
  21. There will likely be a return soon for Wolverine, due to the fact that Fox and Marvel seem to be playing much more nicely now on the TV and movie fronts. It will not happen until the Old Man Logan movie glow dies down.
  22. I can't argue with this strategy. It just makes too much sense. I made the switch in mid to late 2000s when Marvel's Cinematic Universe took off and DC SA keys were dirt cheap in comparison. My problem was that I started selling them too soon when prices doubled instead of holding for a while longer. Yes. My Bat#121 has TRIPLED in price since I made the purchase. It's always difficult to time the peak of the market. Once I sell, I try not to look at market prices. I learned that lesson after selling my Walking Dead #1 at what I thought was close to the peak, only to see it double again. There still are deals to be had. Last spring I snagged a GD/VGish copy of #121 for $400 CDN at a local show, and convinced the collector who showed it to me to buy the FN #181 from the same seller for $150 CDN. I would have taken it if he didn't.
