  1. It's not just you. That makes three of us then. Even the new Spider-Man is excited to see a Batman movie. Tom Holland Looking Forward To The Batman movie He'll need to be accompanied if it's R-Rated Even if it is just 14+.
  2. Nice book! I just have a couple of lowly mid-grade copies right now, but am aiming to get a nicer keeper copy in short order:
  3. Nice and I guess long overdue for the book. I have long felt that Tec #359 was undervalued, but unfortunately sold off my higher grade copies too early. I just have a lowly 8.0 left for better than midgrade copies. With Batgirl/Barbara Gordon being featured in the Lego Batman Movie, I wonder how long it will be before she shows up on the real silver screen?
  4. That's a bit of a stretch. Civil War couldn't reach AoU or even IM 3, so I doubt GOTG 2 will reach JW totals. I'm certain it pass 1 billion, but I don't see it bringing in 2x GOTG 1. Anything is possible with Disney though. The new trailer has certainly got every viewer hooked, line & sinker. I just really hope Gunn will come back for GOTG 3. I can't imagine it being as good without him. I think that GotG2 will do better than Civil War, and has a decent shot at topping AoU and IM3, due to the franchise's popularity now. The first GotG was held back by the fact that it was an unknown entity at the time. I had plenty of friends that did not see it as a result of that. Add in a more popular Chris Pratt for the ladies and Baby Groot for the kids, and this film has more widespread appeal potential than the first one did. The only major competitor for GotG2 in May will potentially be the latest Pirate's of the Carribean flick two and a half weeks later (why Disney would do two major releases in the same month is a bit puzzling), but that franchise is not what it used to be. I agree with you re: Gunn. If he leaves it will be tough to replace what he has pulled together with the franchise.
  5. This show has me very intrigued. If done right this could be a hit. I hope they have some easter eggs re: other mutants and don't try to change Legion to being a fricking Inhuman.........
  6. Both films will be fun to watch this year, but GotG could be a box office monster. At his current trajectory Chris Pratt is/will become a top 5 male lead in Hollywood. He is even able to shine turds like the Magnificent Seven. If GotG 2 tops the Jurassic World worldwide and domestic totals then Disney will be laughing all the way to the bank as they will have the GotG, Avengers and Star Wars franchises to drive even more billions annually for the studio division.
  7. This film looks like another fun one. Next year is shaping up to be a good one for comic fans between all of the DC and Marvel related films and TV shows.
  8. I wonder if this could become the top grossing Marvel movie yet? The trailer is great and should battle with the Batman Lego movie for the top film with kids in 2017.
  9. I snagged a complete Zatana run during the summer from a LCS for $20. They are tougher to find, but runs and singles pop up from time to time.
  10. Agreed, and it is less of a 1st app than ASM #360 as well. That being said, the market has decided which book is the 1st app and settled on #655.
  11. When does Rogue One open in Japan? Maybe that is the reason?
  12. The only way the price drops is if Damian Wayne dives in popularity. As we see time and again with 1st apps, the demand for the character is all that counts.
  13. I know, but I had a nice stack of Dr. Mirage #1s and if they are still in hand then I will get more than $0.10 for them now. I only have a couple of Shadowman #1s, 8s and 16s left.
  14. That would be more fun. However, since I just landed a stack of SS #23s in a collection, I will keep my that Oracle is in the mix somehow as well.
  15. I will have to check to see if I still have any Dr. Mirage #1s left. I think I might have sold them in a bulk longbox dump.
  16. Ontario St. Comics Philly, every new comic bagged and boarded before they go on the shelves. One of several reasons why I shop there Were I ever to lose my mind and open a shop I would probably do it that way. Offer a rebate if you don't want the bag and board. It would drive me absolutely insane to have merchandise mangled on the rack. some obnoxious customer could easily go in and damage hundreds of dollars worth of books and you don't even have to be a grade nut to not want to pay full retail for a book that has been bent in half. bags and boards don't provide total protection, but they're a good start. During the height of the early 90s craze one LCS would bag and board hot issues the day of release and price them up at $5+ immediately.
  17. Any-Man was a weaker film based on everything I have heard. If this one did not hit that then something would be majorly wrong.
  18. They are still available at cons and in LCSs up here. The only issue is beating the other vultures to them.
  19. They need to get this to Netflix fast and then follow the comic source material to make it a hit.
