  1. CGC is just bad with this book for whatever reason. Label ain't always right especially on higher graded copies of this book. CGC generally goes a touch easier on books that are notoriously difficult, Whether on purpose or they just unconsciously recognize it to be a tough book is hard to say. That's been my experience when submitting books that are impossible in grade. True, but look at Andy's copy vs. this one. There is no comparison in which one had the tighter grading.
  2. CGC is just bad with this book for whatever reason. Label ain't always right especially on higher graded copies of this book. True enough, but they were pretty bad with loose grades all through 2013. I had a lot of gift graded books from the 2013 through early 2014 timeframe that I sold as a result of that. I still have a couple (check out the Batman #181 in my sig line as an example) that I kept since my entry price was so low and they are harder to find in higher grades.
  3. My guess is that a lot of the new additions will be "teased" in just a cameo scene or two here or there and that is it. Similar to what Marvel has done with some of their flicks. As far as too much in one movie, Avengers and GotG had multiple heroes in their movies and it worked. The key is to focus on one main threat instead of multiple villains. As we have seen with the Spidey franchise, it does not work well.
  4. That is one weak 8.0. Andy's copy is a tight 7.0, and the other is just a strict 6.5, maybe 7.0, dressed up as an 8.0. I would like to request that grading team for all of my future submissions....... Looking at when it was graded, the significant overgrade makes sense. CGC was in a looser cycle back then.
  5. Batman #368 is starting to run up a bit thanks to the Jason Todd/Red Hood hype. Wow - the last 9.8 copy of #357 sold for $650. That book has spiked big time thanks to the rumors.
  6. Looking at the action in the Pedigree Auction, Batman #121 is moving up a bit as well.
  7. Congrats - that is a great price.
  8. I was at the same point earlier this year until I organized it in two large groups - one to sell at the spring shows in $1 boxes and the other group that I sold to my LCS. It was kind of fun pulling keys out in multiples from boxes, though.
  9. Interesting. That is just a lowly direct edition as well. I am too lazy to look, but there should be a bit of a premium for the newsstand copies, right? Taking a quick look at GPA, there was a 9.6 Canadian newsstand copy that sold for $175 in July, which is double the last direct copy ($81). Looks like I will have to send some more in to see if I can land another 9.8 or two...........

  11. Wow. Looks like I will have to dig mine out and post them asap.
  12. As long as they keep a steady stream of movies coming out I do not see them pulling back to far. In fact, it could end up being similar to the relatively abundant movie related books like Avengers 1, X-Men 1 or IH 181 - big jump for movie then slow and steady (except for IH 181 in low to mid grades - they have gapped up again over the past year).
  13. The last GPA 9.6 sale was at $600. I wonder if it can hit $1000 closer to the movie as well. That would likely mean $3000 for a 9.8.
  14. Which book has the 1st appearance of the Infinity Gauntlet with the gems - SS #50? 44 So gem-less and gem-full in the same book then? I have several copies of both but have never read them.
  15. Which book has the 1st appearance of the Infinity Gauntlet with the gems - SS #50?
  16. So what book features her first full appearance? TV Guide Point being she's an adaptation from a cartoon, not an original comic book creation. Like the Transformers. -J. By this train of logic, any and all Walt Disney,Peanuts, most Four Color Comics and any comic book that derived after a TV appearance should be deemed worthless and insignificant. +1 Sorry Jay but the masses are not as purist as you may be. Transformers 1 sells fairly well, Star Wars 1 is on fire, BA12 is as liquid as they come right now, Scooby Doo 1 always sells well. I'm confident by now most people know where these books came from and it does not phase them because they collect comics. Jay is likely just yanking chains at this point. No use repeating yourself continuously unless you get a rise out of someone.
  17. I am expecting it to hit $2500 closer to the Suicide Squad movie. Hopefully they put Harley in the BvS movie as well. I do not want to see a solo flick for the character yet. Just include her here and there and then do a solo flick later if warranted.
  18. With off white pages? 2500-2750 Cover color sucks for such good PQ... I don't know, looks good to me! Maybe I am just being a snob... Carry on! I am not crazy about the color or the overall appearance for the grade, but I will likely chase it a bit due to the OW-W pages.
  19. Fixed. Do you have one or two tucked away as well? If yes, post it in the CDN newsstand variant thread and fire that sucker back up. It is probably a few pages back now.
  20. only one way to find out...99 cent no reserve auction! with free international shipping! I am leaning more towards posting it on eBay at $2000 or best offer and seeing what happens.
