  1. GREAT book! I've always liked that one. Crowley pedigree to boot. Nice.
  2. That's most definitely a cover depicting the Winter War. Not sure of the story in #2, but War Comics #3 has a great story on the Battle of Suomussalmi which was the most significant victory by Finland against Soviet forces. A really great underdog story and victory against a vastly superior enemy in the Russians.
  3. Nice. I wonder if those are Finnish troops taking on a Russian tank during the Winter War? Let me read it after eating popcorn and i'll let you know! Keep those butter fingers off such a great looking copy. Ha ha. LMK when you tire of that old rag.
  4. Great Centaurs!! This one is absolutely my favorite
  5. Hard to compete with most of these books (Wow...just plain...WOW!) Here's one that doesn't pop up that often: And one of the oddest WW II era books (though I'm thinking the German presence on Mars was a tad bit overstated) And, though not quite as cool a cover as #2, here's the good 'ol US Jones to the rescue: And one of my favorites; a painted cover war book. That's one powerful PT Boat!:
  6. Dang. Those are nice! Congrats on the find. That Lightning cover is very cool (and the other two aren't so shabby either).
  7. Bought a fairly expensive book from Matt. Very easy to work with on the deal. Fast shipping and packaged well. Feel confident buying from Matt!
  8. Thanks. Yes, definitely a strange story, and on a topic that was well before its time (sex change story). Certainly one of the more interesting reads in the run!
  9. A couple of more recent acquisitions. A couple I posted in the SA forum (Charlton Sci-Fi) as well, but thought I'd add here.
  10. Nice! A great book that should get more and more respect in the marketplace. Congrats.
  11. I see my post sharing my "Voldemort" graded 9.6 Neil Gaiman verified signature Sandman 1 got completely pulled. I even cropped out the holder label to try to conform with forum rules. Oh well. It really is a beauty and I had it signed in person back at Heroes Con (Charlotte, NC) back in 1997, so glad to finally have it encapsulated.
  12. And a WW #1 5.0 is ending on ComicLink Wednesday. It's been a while since any have been offered in a public auction. There's a lot of others too - I've heard they're from a fairly high grade collection. There's even a #98 in 6.5 in it. Good stuff! I'm more interested in the Sensation 1 7.5 that ends tomorrow night on CLink. Still my favorite of the 3 WW keys, and a VF copy to boot.
  13. Just a teeny bit, I'd say . Current bid for the 9.0 is $15,916 !
  14. I noticed that JLA #64 (1st SA app. Red Tornado) seems to be heating up a bit due to the Supergirl casting. I'm not much for playing the movie speculation game, but have always liked Red Tornado so did find a nice copy recently. It will be interesting to see if this gets pushed higher with the speculation craze or not. Either way, I'm glad to have a copy. Supergirl Casts Iddo Goldberg as Dr. T.O. Morrow, the Red Tornado
  15. Wow. $15,916 and there's still another day of bidding. All I can say is that my 6.5 copy is now available and I'm willing to offer "half price" savings based on this auction's hammer price.
  16. Wow. Fantastic books! Dang it, I'm also working on the WW trifecta, and am only missing the WW1. Until last year, I had both a Sen 1 7.5 and a Sen 1 6.0. The 6.0 would have made for an excellent trade! Congrats on a great group of books.
  17. Wow. That is an elite club. Congrats! Great book.
  18. I picked this up a few months ago, but didn't pay much attention to the markings. Any chance this is an Okajima, or are the markings just coincidental? I'm guessing it's not a pedigree, but thought it's worth getting a second opinion .
  19. Nice looking copy! Displays well for a 4.0. Congrats!
  20. That's so awesome. Some of those Canadian books are just incredible!
  21. Let's go with Top 10 scanned into Photobucket In no particular order...
