  1. This would be my 2nd favorite Darkseid art. And I liked Porter. I was out of comics from 1993 until 98-99. Coming back in, I liked Porter's style.
  2. Bone #1 is one of the few books where a Green label is not the "Green Label of Death." It is widely known that JS signed many many copies of Bone #1. The Green label won't do as well as a Yellow Label of the same grade, but the certification of the grade seems to bolster prices a little bit if the Buyer is confident in the authenticity of the signature.
  3. Correct - for comics. He did 10-15 Marvel magazine covers.
  4. Those books all have value. The condition looks quite good. Whether it is extreme value or not depends upon the printing of the Turtles #1 and #2. There is a way to tell the printing of the #1 based upon the length of the sword and the amount of blood, but I never was that into Turtles. You can also check the indicia and the back cover ads to determine what printing they are. There are a number of threads in the Copper section discussing all of the important information. The regular edition Turtlemania and the Nintendo sneak preview also do well graded in high grade.
  5. Part of the reason this doesn't make sense to us is generational. Look at the popularity of Acorns and Robin Hood. My nieces asked me why I wasn't doing it, and being the d*ck I am, I told them it wasn't worth my time or effort. It is the same with this, for me anyway. If I wanted a Jordan rookie or a ToS39 I would go and get it. But for Milennials and whatever the ones coming up behind them are called - this is the order of the day. It's fun and interesting and they can have a tiny little piece instead of nothing.
  6. I have never subbed an OO Bronze book. I was not careful with condition until I got back into comics in 1984. All my 1975-1979 books are just read to death. My OO X-Men 94 is a legit 0.5. The cover is almost like felt.
  7. He's the guy that did the Ebay equivalent of making you smell his jockstrap when he outbid you on all the sweet, sweet Bronze in the early 2000's.
  8. That's where I would have put my money. I'll double down on the belief that it is a mistake.
  9. This is a Gen 13 Chromium which only came out of the red and/or black sealed boxes. Some of the Chromiums were signed by Jim Lee and some were signed by J. Scott Campbell. All of the signed copies I have seen have been signed in gold ink pretty much exactly like that. So, if the gold ink sig is on the slab, then they have done a great job of simulating the signed book. But if it is on the book then that leaves me with one of two choices: (1) It is a mistake or (2) CGC has decided that since they were "produced" by Image with the signature on them, the signature will be ignored. I believe that it is #1 not #2, if the sig is on the book.
  10. That is really cool. The downside is that you had to read a copy of Video Jack #4 in order to find that out!
  11. This one lasted a while. I thought it was going to last longer -
  12. (1) set an old picture of yourself looking attentively pensive as your Zoom background (2) don't attend any more Zoom meetings (3) ? (4) Profit
  13. Well, you have misinterpreted my comment, so you guys have that in common. Huzzah!!
  14. I think you care so much it hurts.
  15. Ugh. Is there a centerfold in that one like the Poison Ivy book? I got piped on that one time.
  16. If you are not familiar with CGC's standards, it will be very difficult to understand the difference in grading. A 9.6 and a 9.8 are indistinguishable to an untrained eye. The short answer to your question is "more defects." The more defects a book has, the lower the grade.
