  1. Breathtajing #33 Biil! – and great late acquisitions everyone… Hopefully my Uomo Ragno #39 will make his trip safely to Buzzetta’s home…
  2. No one loves my awesome Captain Britain #11… I guess I’ll have to wait for an high grade copy to raise some eyebrows…
  3. With all the due respect to high end collectors, this 9.4 and above craze just puts my mind on hold… (for the prices, that’s all – these things are unthinkable here).
  4. Dang, that is sweet! (And I love Xemnu…) But if forced to choose, I’d still hang on my FF #62 original art page…
  5. The italian #232 is missing, Tim… Did you wait until we (hopefully) find a better copy?
  6. This happens constantly. I guess we should peacefully learn to live with it… (Besides this, I see nothing wrong in speaking of an upcoming sales thread to gather attention, especially if you are really needing the money… )
  7. Pretty much like JazzMan said, Chip. Although I think if there is not much traffic is allowed to have two threads if the items are pretty different (i.e. high grade Marvel slabs and cheap 1970s Disney reprints, to make an example).
  8. Just got this… It’s a bit borderline between Bronze and Copper but since the Copper section doesn’t seem to have much traffic on the "new this Week" books I post it here. I never had any of the original books where the Alan Moore/Alan Davis stories ran, and the Fury must be the most disturbing villain ever – and this ranks among my favorite covers, now.
  9. KJ, "average" or not that is a very nice one, would be more than happy with it!
  10. I am thinking that the italian one would have been even better if left all black, wihout any lettering (i.e. "Venom")…
  11. I love how sweet Roy’s copy looks, with the time stamp & al…
  12. Here you are – I sold this copy (from my own collection) to VWclobberinthing in my previous sales thread… As you see, mostly it‘s a #4:
  13. The italian one does not exist, or better shares the cover with the #4. Doom is blue armor, green cape, a bit different but more or less faithful to the original.
  14. In some ways it is, in others… it’s really too arbitrary when it comes to grading. On one side, it may allow you to make good deals, especially if you are very focused on certain areas of collecting – on the other side, it may happen that you look for ages for a certain rare book in high grade, pay a lot for a lower grade copy and then a super-high grade copy pops up in the hands of someone which do not know the market value, and gets sold for a fraction of what you paid. Yes, it has happened…
  15. Dang! I’m loving this one… Maybe simply because I do not own an original yet, but nonetheless… as you know I’m not a foreign edition collector but certain issues… And a Pink Doctor Doom is not a kind of villainy you see every day…
  16. More like "breathtaking" – the cover paper looks WHITE. And I do mean WHITE!
  17. It’s scarce but I have seen some around at some point… not sure where. I guess the canadian english and french version are more or less the same in terms of scarcity.
  18. Hi Bronty, I did not mean the price was particularly high on that, it’s just that those silver prices are darn high for most of the books. Keep in mind that in Italy the most treasured books never go past a few thousand Euro for a single book, and those are exceptions. I have some very rare thing which in the USA would be in that range, but here in Italy – despite the rarity – they can be obtained for a few hundreds or less. There is also say that the peak in prices in the most higher grade is something that isn’t there either. Most collectors consider a VF+ or better the same thing as a Gem Mint book…
  19. Golly, that was expensive! I did not think it cost so much, especially in grade! Should I decide to pick up one, I’ll really have to go with a super-low grade copy…
  20. Gosh Greg, your #1 gave me an heartache! Love the whiteness of the cover. Hang on it!
  21. You mistakenly described the italian #238 as a "spanish edition", Matt…
