  1. Good morning, Thanks for your message. The only reason we ever refuse a package is if it arrives at our facility with any visible damage or issue. We refuse it and have it sent back to the customer immediately so they can check their items and make sure nothing is missing or damaged. It is not a common occurrence so, I believe your package would probably be fine it you re-sent it. The main thing is that it is well packaged and secure inside the box. Thank you!
  2. Good morning, Thanks for your message. Unfortunately, CGC does not accept COAs so we could not use this as proof or verification of ownership and could not notate that on the label. I'm sorry about that! If you have any other questions, please let us know. Thanks!
  3. Good morning, Thank you for your message. Part of what the graders do when they examine a book is to check the current market value of this type of book in that type of condition. I couldn't tell you the specific date of the auction sales they reviewed for your particular order but they would go by recent sales from the past few months. Thank you!
  4. Good morning, I am sorry no one has gotten back to you. If you would like to send me your customer number or invoice number, I can check into it for you and have someone get back to you ASAP. You can send me a private message if you don't want to put that information directly on the chat boards. Thank you!
  5. Good morning, Thanks for your message. The turnaround time for the private signings doesn't start until the actual signing has been completed. There can be weeks and in some cases, months between the cut off date and the actual signing date. This allows us to enter all the thousands of submissions for a particular signing but it is also based on the artist's schedule, which can sometimes change. This signing hasn't occurred yet and it may be a few weeks yet. If you have any questions, please let us know. Thank you!
  6. Good morning, Thanks for your message. You can notate comments on your packing slip and you can also attach a sticky note to the bag the book is in as well. Please note, however, that it will completely depend on the nature of the stain to determine if it can be removed. Things like ink, marker, etc. generally cannot be removed but dirt, pencil marks, etc. usually can. You can check out our CCS page to see more of what sort of things CCS can and cannot do: CCS Pressing | CGC (cgccomics.com) Thanks!
  7. Good morning, Thanks for your message. We work closely with our manufacturer to ensure that we receive only the highest quality holders, and we take great care to protect these holders during our grading process. The significant size and extreme clarity of these holders, however, makes it virtually impossible to prevent small scratches and scuffs that may occur during careful handling and in transit. As a result, minor scratches and scuffs that do not distract from the encapsulated book are considered to be acceptable. If you receive a submission back that you feel has an scratches or scuffs that fall outside of acceptable limits, please contact our customer service department within two weeks of receiving your items back and we can have you send them back to us for a complimentary reholder. You can reach our customer service department at 877-662-6642 or by email at submissions@cgccomics.com. Thanks!
  8. Good morning, Thanks for your message. Unfortunately, CGC will not be attending that show. You can find a listing of any upcoming events on our website here: Events | CGC (cgccomics.com) However, there will most likely be a CGC authorized facilitator that can provide witnesses for you and submit the books to us on your behalf. You can find a listing of facilitators here: https://www.cgccomics.com/signature-series/facilitators/ You can also check our Signature Room chat board to find out which facilitators might be attending the show. You can access that here: The Signature Room - CGC Comic Book Collectors Chat Boards (cgccomics.com) Thanks!
  9. Good morning, Thanks for your email. If you are an authorized CGC dealer then you do have access to CGC APIs and downloads. You will just need to log into your dealer account and you will find this information under the tools and resources page:
  10. Unfortunately, no, we do not scan images of the book unless the customer requested imaging service on their submission. Thanks!
  11. Good morning, Thanks for your message. If you have already received the book back and the status hasn't updated to shipped, then it sounds like it just needs to be updated in our system. Please contact our customer service department and we can get that updated and once it is updated to "shipped" status then you would be able to view that information in the certification lookup field. You can reach customer service at: 877-662-6642 or by email at submissions@cgccomics.com. Thank you!
  12. Good morning, CGC offers Signature Series authentication for 8 x 10 photos as well as sketches done on paper/backing boards. These submissions are ungraded and CGC only authenticates the signature. As long as the item is witnessed, it can be submitted for encapsulation at CGC. Instead of a hard plastic case, these sketches, prints or photos are heat sealed in a thinner more pliable plastic similar to our inner well. Unfortunately, we cannot use the hard comic holders for photos as they are too thin to stay in place within the holder. If you have any other questions, please let us know. Thank you,
  13. Hi, I did check with our Operations manager on this and she confirmed this does have a well it is just a different type. Not all the wells we use or have used have that indentation at the top. This is what we would call a "lid to lid" and is normal and acceptable. A free reholder would not be available for this book. Thanks!
  14. Good morning, Thanks for your message. What you are referring to there is the inner well. This is the inner plastic piece that the books are put into first before they are encapsulated into the CGC holders. The inner well keeps the book in place and prevents the book from shifting around and potentially causing damage. There was a period of a few months back in 2016 where encapsulated books did not have an inner well. It could be that the first book was encapsulated during that period of time. If you contact our customer service department with the certification number of that book they can review and if it was done during that time period, we will reholder the book at no charge for you. You can contact our customer service department at: submissions@cgccomics.com or at 877-662-6642. Thank you!
  15. Good morning, Yes, we should be able to grade them as long as they fit within the dimensions of our holders. You can find out more about how to submit to CGC on our website here: How to Submit | CGC (cgccomics.com) Thank you!
  16. Good morning, Thanks for your message. When you enter a certification number for a CGC-graded collectible in the free Verify CGC Certification tool, you will see if it has any Grader Notes. To unlock the Grader Notes, click the "Get Notes" button and fill in the required fields. Not every book will have grader notes so, if it says no notes available then, unfortunately, there were no notes for the book in question. Thank you,
  17. Good morning, Thanks for your message. We can't say for certain until we examine the book in person. If it fits within the dimensions of our holders then there is a good chance but we cannot make any guarantees on something until we examine it. I did check our census and see there are other Warhammer books listed as graded but I don't know if they are the same type as this one. You can send it in and if it turns out to not be a book we can grade, you would not be charged any grading fees on that. If you have any other questions, please let us know. Thanks!
  18. Good morning, Thanks for your message. I did check on this with our Operations team and they advised that should be fine as long as you send it directly to us after that signing along with the paperwork for both the original signing, which must be witnessed, and the private signing paperwork as well. Thank you!
  19. Good morning, Thanks for your message. I did check with the graders on this and they advised that a reproduction cover must be attached for us to include it with the interior. The best way to do it is through the original staples, but it may also be attached with tape or restoration (restoration will result in a purple NG label though) If you have any other questions, please let us know. Thank you!
  20. Good morning, Unfortunately, customers can't request specific customized labels but we can certainly pass your suggestion along to management as an idea for possible future labels. Thank you!
  21. Good morning, If your book is already encapsulated with a Signature Series label, you can send it in for another signing. The book must still be encapsulated in the original holder when we receive it and we will crack it out here for the signing. That is the only way for a book to keep the original Signature Series label. Thanks!
  22. Good morning, Thanks for your message. Unfortunately, as of right now, CGC will not be attending that show. You can access that here: The Signature Room - CGC Comic Book Collectors Chat Boards (cgccomics.com) Signature series forms cannot be completed online. Those forms must be obtained at the show. You can reach out to the facilitator for more details on how to submit, but generally once a book is signed, the chain of custody dictates that from then on it must remain in the custody of either CGC or a CGC authorized facilitator. Thanks!
  23. Good morning, Unfortunately, the Carnage label is retired. You can find a listing of current and retired labels on our website here: CGC's Custom Label Series | CGC (cgccomics.com) Thank you!
  24. Good morning, Thanks for your message. I'm not sure what your question to CGC is, however. Can you please clarify? Thanks!
  25. Hi, thanks for your message. CGC doesn't design the inner wells, this is how they come from the supplier. We have tested the inner wells extensively and the vast majority of books that are stored properly have no issues. We use wedges when we feel the book dimensions or in some instances the cut of an individual copy may not fit appropriately in our standard inner holder. You certainly could request a wedge, if you wish, but it would be up to our encapsulation team to make the final determination on if a wedge is necessary during encapsulation. If you have any other questions, you can reach us at 877-662-6642 or by email at submissions@cgccomics.com. Thanks!
