  1. I think its a world wide slowdown. By far my lowest volume of sales in the last 3 years. 6 Books this week, compared to 20 - 25 normally. Mind you I need some new stock, so there is that.
  2. Too much arty overthinking here. Logan was a brilliant movie, about friendship love and hope. Violent, yes, but necessary. Saw it last night in Melbourne CBD - 7 sittings - 6 were sold out, so we took the VMAX late night show - still half full. At the end, the audience just sat silently, even when the lights came up - you could see that everyone there got it. The turning of the cross was just the perfect end. Great great movie. Just go see it your self and make your own mind up. Patrick Stewart (Chuck!!) was brilliant, but kudos to X-23, she scared the krap out of me on more than one occasion. Just go see it.
  3. It's a very poor copy, even for a 1.0 - I agree completely. I believe the last copy went for $6K via auction, and I think that was before the 7.0 went for a stratospheric price. I own a low grade copy for complete disclosure, but this book was on my want list for a while, purely for the relevance it has in the evolution of comics. What a team the JSA were - I especially enjoyed the later teams - Wildcat etc. An iconic book in the real sense of the word. This isn't my book, nor do I know the seller, but think this could finish around the price I noted.
  4. http://www.comicconnect.com/bookDetail.php?id=707101 Now just $1k under GPA high with 12 days to go. Any estimates on final value? I would not be surprised to see $8K
  5. If this is going to have Cap Reynolds in it - what chance other Serenity crew members? Love to see Summer Glau in a cameo at least!
  6. Save it on your cable and watch in chunks. I watched 1-4 last night and was blown away. I don't know the story from comics as I have not read them, but as a fast-paced/low-paced show its an absolute mindfl uck Really good - just don't leave it a week between viewing.
  7. Just watched the new ep Rick smiles at the end - SPOLIER (IMHO) - SO DON'T READ ON. beacause it's Heath
  8. I'm sure they did - what comes around goes around and all that. I have got lucky before, so it's just good karma that others do as well. Cheers!
  9. #16 for me - it's really next on my list of 'Batman Keys' Who hasn't heard of Alfred? #4 comes in a solid second on your list, but as others have said, Tec #38,58,66 and 140 would be ones I'd really save up for if I was starting from scratch
  10. This explains why both my sets of The Judas Contract sold quickly this month. Bummer - let them go for next to nothing
  11. Please god, make this happen. There are so many actors/actresses that could replace the original cast (seen Adam Baldwin lately in The Last ship!!) Would be a dream come true. Best.Sci-fi.Show.Ever.
  12. I had copies of those LP's earlier this year - went for about $15 USD each via ebay. The collection is very similar to an auction lot of 15 boxes I grabbed last year, but luckily there were many more comics in it. For someone with lots of time, and an established ebay store, they may want to take it on, but as others have said, there doesn't appear to be many valuable items in it. Personally, I'd take any reasonable offer to move out the whole lot in one hit. It's a nice thing you are doing, hope it doesn't get too stressful!
  13. Great post. Roy has the right to defend whoever he likes. It's Chip on trial here, not Roy. Jimmers made a very brave and open post - imagine if Chip was found to have the same issues. No excuses for Chip, but possibly a reason
  14. I don't mind Lucifer - it's just all a bit PG for me though. There are some cracking one-liners (mostly for the Brits to get) but I can't help thinking Lucifer could be much better if given an adult rating and a later timeslot. Some scenes cry out for some smut!
  15. When Fox starts doing stuff that is 'mysterious' and with "schizophrenic - or possibly not" type shows, I do worry. The Marvel Netflix series worked because they were relatively easy to follow. You can make great, but not straightforward TV - see Westworld - but after the FF debacle I'm not doing cartwheels. I hope to be proved wrong, but the trailers didn't compel me to bookmark it on cable.
  16. Great news, and as other have said - the Church Massacre scene was probably the best action sequence for the last 10 years. If it gets to those heights again, I'll be in the queue for this one! For those who didn't see it (warning - violence+++ language NSFW)
  17. Can anyone in the states answer this - was there more than 8 seconds on your after credits scene? Ours ended with the arm-cutting and faded to black. It is possible you guys saw more as Foxtel (our cable) is very strict about 'over-runs' Anyone? Thanks!
  18. Thanks all - especially Harris being William - I wasn't certain (might have popped to the loo in that bit!). What a shame we have to wait until 2018! Lastly though - what was the significance of Tatooed woman in the after credits scene? I watched it, and didn't grasp anything new - just a higher 'wish' to escape - but surely this was the programme being 'run' by the Maeve narrative at work - or did we not see the full scene here in Australia - it ran for about 8 seconds here.
  19. God this is exasperating! So are we saying for certain: A) Bernard is Arnold in a cloned body B) Maeves 'escape' is just another programme - ( as she just realised) and she over-rode that programme to go to Park 1 to find her daughter knowing it was an android, or does she think it's really hers? - As in she REALLY thinks she is alive? C) Ford is not dead - that's the android that was being built when Bernard started killing, and realised he was an android (2 eps ago)? D) Ford, on learning that he was being 'fired' pre-emptively struck first, using his army of 'old' models' to kill off all the current board and VIP's? E) We still don't know who the hell Ed Harris is, in timeline #1 F) Delores is ACTUALLY Wyatt, and she now knows it. I was just scratching my head - but loving the show. Great TV - just hope it doesn't become another "Lost" All help/confirmation/correction welcome!
  20. I have one of these lying around somewhere - from memory I believe they were printed in Manchester UK, but sold in Australia. 90% sure. If I have time, I'll try to locate it over the weekend. I, for one, would love to know for sure. Must own one! Ok had a look, and it appears I sold it last year, but my notes (yes I am a sad git - I keep notes) stated published by Yaffa/Page Sydney, printed in Manchester, UK 1981. Sold for a whole $12 This was always happening - for example the magazine "Star Trek Guide to Fan clubs" was simply reprinted by Yaffa as "The Star Trek Guide"! Same cover, just left the words 'Fan Clubs' off the cover. These things do come up from time to time - next time I see one, I'll drop you a PM
