  1. I have one of these lying around somewhere - from memory I believe they were printed in Manchester UK, but sold in Australia. 90% sure. If I have time, I'll try to locate it over the weekend.
  2. You forgot to say "you heard it here first." Nah Andy - I forgot to say "if it's right - it's a lucky guess!" What's your theory mate?
  3. The guy was angry and had a rush of blood to his keyboard. Give him an extra 2 months perhaps......... banning - waay to harsh. Maybe the post at CBCS was the tipper, but plenty have posted worse on Facebook apparently (don't use it) - what's the difference. I don't think he was ever malicious, just being, well, CAK. Seems tough, and it would be nice to see the Mods reconsider.
  4. Theories, theories. Anthony Hopkins, for me, is an android - the missing "Arnold" uploaded into a body. He is using Thandi Newton as a surrogate to "practice" his eventual plan. The hoarde of androids from the 'new scenario" are all hooded - what's the betting they are his 'old models' retired ones, but upgraded - and that's why we don't see their faces. It's his private army - being built to defeat the MIB - an update of Brunner v Fonda. I was hoping the buried town turns out to be the original westworld site, which will be dug up and restored during the 'new phase' and where the final showdown takes place - but this time between an android army and humans. And I'm probably totally wrong!
  5. Amen brother! If this stays 'on story' - then this could be the film of the year. Ghost worked because of the humanity disconnect - the major never found what she was seeking, and that in itself was highly satisfying. Great to see Bhattu in the car! Cannot wait!
  6. Dexters Half-Dozen #1 - #6 (worthless UK indy comic - print run ranged from 300 to 40 per issue) I have the Australian Luke Cage #1 - that's pretty hard to find.
  7. I'm not sure Casey. Perhaps the incident was the one regarding "Arnold" - that would make sense as the park was closed after the original "Westworld" I believe? It re-opened "teched-up" and then when the creator killed himself (if he did - which I doubt) then perhaps that was when it temporarily closed again? You're not nuts, it's just not been made crystal clear.
  8. I was not expecting it. So that was a cool surprise! I really thought she was just going to take him out versus negotiating with the supervisor. So to see she kept him alive made her more human than those treating the androids as amusement park attractions. The Easter Egg wasn't just Yul Brenner. If you listen closely during that scene, the music in the background is the same shrieking sounds from the original movie when Yul is chasing Richard Benjamin. That's so cool you noticed that - I totally missed it - off for a re-view!
  9. Glad someone else spotted Yul Brunner! What a glorious Easter Egg. Still a good show, but they need to get some clarification. I mean - yes the techs are humping some hosts - but I doubt that would compare with "hey guys, a host woke up , grabbed a scalpel and blackmailed me" Kinda more important than selling android shags out to your mates, I'd have thought...
  10. C) I rarely go if ever to flea markets/garage sales/estate sales And there it is. The dealer/flipper golden ticket - but it's all a bit hard to get up in the morning I guess. This is where you find your profit Gabe - and by getting there first. Check out the Garage sale/ flea market thread in CG - EVERYONE who scored those books had to work to find them. It's as simple as that!
  11. Thanks guys...all that was left of interest was a run of Hulks - sadly starting at #185... Very happy, but I have to say I'll be happier when I get rid of the 6 full boxes of drek in my hallway on Friday. Probably closer to 1600 being chucked. My back is bloody sore - I'm getting a little too old for this box shifting caper!
  12. Goodness - can't I sleep in Australia So to recap: ASM #361 362 Iron Fist #1 - #15 Complete set Indiana Jones Complete set minus 2 issues Dr Strange Full John Carter Savage She-Hulk #1 - #25 Full Star Trek Dr Strange #171 - #183 ( sooo close!) 12c Aquaman's Some wonderful British comics from the 1960's 'Terrific' and 'Fantastic' - never seen them before - great fun Pile of 12" albums - Superman, Return of the Jedi - records, all perfect Conan #24 Millar Wolvie #1 - #4 Full Squadron Supreme Pile of 12c Marvels (no keys) 12c Doom Patrols big ol pile of Luke Cage/Iron Fist (inc 54) My favorite - Luke Cage #1 - Australian edition - frikkin awesome book! New Teen Titans #2 and #10 Tales of Teen Titans Judas run Giant Size X-Men #1 - probable 4.0 - 5.0 (depends on press and clean if I decide to go that way) Usual ASM - #141 - #185 Iron Man #81 - #164 inc minor keys Rai #0 (9.8), Archer and Armstrong #0 Deadpool Circle #1 - #4 Plus some awesome stuff like 40+ Treasury issues, 120+ Blue Ribbon Digests, Calendars, figures etc I know the Cap figure is rare (but missing rifle) - if anyone knows the other 2 - let me know. Hundreds of Australian 1960/70/80 reprints (which I love) plus heaps of little runs and sets. I have chucked about 1500 into boxes as they were utter drek - moderns and incomplete - so they can go to a local auction house. There are others but I haven't gone through the piles fully yet - X-Men, Hulk etc I've had enough for a bit! As for the sale - the tenant was evicted after being 6 months behind, took some stuff and left the rest. Every room was full to the ceiling with junk.
  13. Aside from the comic books, did the $200 cover everything? If so, could you pull cash out of other assets that are non-comic related? Did you find anything else of value aside from the comics? It sounded like a great deal nonetheless. I'm on box 6 now - Treasury's, Blue ribbon digests, Complete Dr Strange run. Some figures that I have no idea about. I'll post a list of the good stuff tomorrow. There are stuff like complete runs of Indiana Jones etc, but there are literally 1500 absolute stinkers that will be going to the local auction house - random 1990's - 2000's garbage, not even in complete runs. But there was a Giant Size X-Men #1
  14. Ok - 1st box opened - the books are all over the place - it would appear they were just put into any old box and taped up. But I'll start with Iron Fist #1 - #15 inc #14 (9.0ish) and raise you New Teen Titans #2 in about 9.4/9.6 after a press. Give me a couple of days - they are all over the place, but there is a krapload of drek! It's been worth it so far - and yes, pics will most definitely follow!
  15. New one for me - tenant eviction auction. First one to raise their hand for $200 USD (approx.) won this lot. So what's in the boxes? Besides the inflatable Wolverine - I have no idea. I'd imagine tons and tons of drek.... So being the first to raise hand I now own 11 boxes of quote "comics and stuff" I'll update with anything interesting or good. Genuinely haven't looked so 3000 1995 - 1998 comics here I come.....
  16. Congrats Mr Harmon - I know you have been after one for years. I'm very pleased for you. I still continue the futile pursuit... Congrats again Sean
  17. Well, speaking only for myself (not CGC), I think that between 1. Narration in panels 2. Character dialogue 3. Artist's depictions there is so much leeway and wiggle-room between all three that it's virtually impossible to pinpoint a first time Superman is definitively flying. That seems to be the consensus in this thread in a nutshell!
  18. But what if they have no idea of his plan? That's my point - Westworld creators don't know about his plan. I also think he has been 'seeding' the drawings and toys - plus adding 'viruses' to characters when he has 'playtime' with them. He's been doing this for years - remember he said he's been coming for 30 years, and that he is a head of a large corporation (something medical if you remember a scene from yesterdays episode). I just have a gut feel - but I'm certain Westworld are unaware of his intent - he's walking around with a scalp with a maze map- and westworld don't seem to have even noticed that....... Just a hypothesis
  19. I think Ed Harris has a long-standing grudge with the creators of Westworld - probably killed Arnold in fact. His mission is to find the maze - AKA the master control setting that will enable the hosts to kill the guests. He intends to have the hosts massacre every living human in Westworld - in one single day. The reason is yet to be explained for his 'grudge', but that's definitely his goal.
  20. Haha - I usually get this stuff wrong - even a stopped clock and all that. Seems I got this one right for a change.
  21. "2nd - the 'kill' in Season 7 ....... Negan Spoilers ahead! " Ahem......
  22. Custom status? Hell - even a custom title, someone should PM Arch asap!
