  1. This was on CLink not to long ago, IIRC
  2. If you're looking to fund a new purchase and the only thing you have to sell is one of your recently purchased "grails," than you have too many. Or "grail" doesn't mean what you think it means.
  3. I didn't even look at this thread until today because I thought it was a link to an auction house. so, in that case $75
  4. The one I like that intersects with what I can afford
  5. 1. You can get SAVAGE DRAGON direct from the artist, so I'm guessing his asking price would be the reasonable price. No dealer or evil rep mark-up prices. HOWEVER, he likes to sell his art as complete books, so I think that accounts for the lack of pages 'in the wild.' It takes a special kind of heartless collector to be the first one to scatter a book. 2. @alex_johnson will probably be along to post his pricing guidelines, but until then you may find them tucked in the NEW TO OA COLLECTING thread
  6. That's horrendous Something like that should have been done on a WD blank. I know, the owner "LOVES" the page and is going to keep it "forever" I'm sure "Tom & Penny" said the same thing [PREACHER OA collectors will get this]
  7. CAF doesn't load quicker for premium members, but coincidentally, Bill just sent out an email explaining several cool site upgrades for premium members. I'm looking forward to their implementation
  8. I don't read DETECTIVE, but that is a GREAT cover. I'd love to have it in my collection along with one of the sweet CATWOMAN covers Jock has done.
  9. I bid just to watch it, but during the course of this auction I was offered another page (dare I say "BETTER") and went with the PM page. The page that was offered to me is the page before another that i have, so it makes it that much nicer.
  10. Not an 'A' in my opinion, but PREACHER 53 page 08 had a nice finish on eBay tonight at $1309 (41 bids). It's a nice enough image of eye-patch Jesse (How do people recognize him? Wolverine puts on an eye patch and becomes a completely unrecognizable and different character. But I digress) and a great half-splash from Dillon. But for me PREACHER is all about the Jesse/Tulip relationship (although Deputy Cindy is a much better catch. But I digress again). So, having the dialog on the page be solely about Arseface brings it down for me. If he had instead been thinking of Tulip, A+ page all the way.
  11. I don't have the book, but I found THIS LINK Looks like page 16 in the book (14th story page)
  12. Damn, that's a heavy premium for the additional "SNAKT!" panel
  13. I don't think the original number is important, but it was 4
  14. This may make sense to some, but I'm still trying to wrap my head around it. - A buyer buys a page on CLink ($800 ballpark) - turns right around and offers it right back to the original seller as trade plus $5,000 cash. So, does the buyer take an instant loss on the trade he just paid $800+ for? Certainly he didn't get the full value he just paid in trade. He's willing to take that $200/$300+ hit for a piece he held so briefly? It could be possible. Is Jesusjon back on the boards I'd like to hear from the buyer just to validate this story. Just looks odd to me.
  15. $60,000 ? I'll take the under on that one. I get all of the pluses: - first cover appearance (?) - popular character - it's wolverine, but a hot girl instead so it's o.k. for me to lust over it, as long as she is 18+ - new to market and all that but $60k?
