  1. It would seem like no one cares about this series, but every time go to bid on a page other collectors start coming out of the shadows
  2. I was being sarcastic. Sorry that didn't come through in the message board. A majority of my eggs are in a couple of baskets. "Quite a few" pages from one of my favorite series. 100+ pages from another favorite VERTIGO series (NOT SANDMAN ) 100+ pages each from two of my favorite artists F diversification. I like what I like.
  3. Fred is easy enough to get a hold of for commissions. Maybe you can contact him direct and get a piece for a similar price
  4. My standard answer is to NOT color. But since it is a commission and you want to get it colored by the same artist I see it no differently than if you had gotten a color commission from him in the first place. If it make you happy, go for it
  5. Great comment. That's how I got into OA as well. I got my first page for $130. At the time the book it was published in was $30-$40 book. It's hard for me to justify spending enough on a few comics as it would cost for a page of ORIGINAL art.
  6. So, you're saying it's possible to collect OA and buy pages under $200 still. Shocker. I wish you'd contain your articles to pieces costing $10,000 or more. I'd hate for people to think they can enter the hobby.
  7. An organizer of a comic con, which is filled with artists of all skill levels, should be able to find someone to draw exactly what he needs
  8. Artists are also known to draw on whatever bristol they have available. I've seen DC characters on Marvel boards and vice/versa.
  9. Raymond Pettibon - BLACK FLAG album covers (Family Man and My War especially)
  10. Not sure that meets the definition of a "flip"
  11. Nice pages and great prices. It's almost as if you're trying to make it affordable for new people to enter the hobby.
  12. I'm definitely against it. I think the original art should remain as it was to produce the comic. After inking it is no longer the page used to create the comic. It is a very similar page, but not the page
  13. These are just asking prices. People hoping to "hit it big". Nothing realistic imo. Especially what is left over. For example, this one sold on clink for $475 and is now listed on eBay for $1000. https://www.comiclink.com/Auctions/item.asp?back=%2FComicTrack%2FAuctions%2Fauctions%5Ffirst%2Easp&id=1138521http://www.ebay.com/itm/DC-Vertigo-PREACHER-52-Steve-Dillon-ORIGINAL-ART-Garth-Ennis-1999-Tulip-Amy-/131987016928?hash=item1ebb0a0ce0:g:ey0AAOSwImRYDCjuHowever, with just a little bit of research here, I found one very surprising thing. AKA Rick auctioned it off on clink is he is also the guy currently selling it on eBay. Here he is soliciting the pages on the boards:http://boards.collectors-society.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Main=416610&Number=9555629#Post9555629And here he is linking his ebay account so we can see his ID.http://boards.collectors-society.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Main=424325&Number=9731235#Post9731235 Interesting indeed
  14. Looking at the PREACHER pages available and the asking prices I'm left asking myself . . . . http://giphy.com/gifs/amc-dominic-cooper-preacher-14smbJOtJzokYo'>
  15. I know these numbers are ASKED FOR on eBay, but I'm not sure how many move at those levels. I just hope this is SWAG (Some Wild Azz Guessing)
  16. I was pleasantly surprised my EVERYTHING Commission got not 1, but 2 votes. Certainly it's a commentary on Gary Martin's incredible inking skills. Where my Rollins' fans at?
