  1. No,no,no..... they were signed... went to pressing... and I just got email notification that they are back at CGC, in line to be graded. Nothing to worry about.
  2. My three comics didn't want pressing, they needed pressing..... and just noticed that not only did they jump to the top of my submission list, but the date changed from original submission of 11/21 to 1/20/2020. So appears that they are back from pressing, today, and waiting to be inspected and sealed.
  3. The three books that I am pressing still read received, but have shifted to the top of my submissions list.... another sign that something is brewing... the game is afoot.
  4. I've got a 9.6 ow/w that I'll be picking up from the PO in a couple days.... it will be for sale...
  5. I was thinking about going, but have to work... I know; on a Sunday. I was hoping to give you a short pile of comics to take home to press.... although I doubt you'll have room in your luggage on the way out.
  6. They were all fresh, raw, organic...picked fresh off the rack... picked winners... Apologies to JoeyPost.... there was no time to use your excellent service on this one... and I was lucky. Got a small pile that's heading your way soon.
  7. The real Todd is still under the weather.... This is his ghost signer .....
  8. Yes.... 13 on the way back home with no pressing... (9.8 ...except for two 9.6) ... Two SM 1 Silver bagged that need the polybag line pressed out ... waiting for movement. Got all the signs....
  9. Those would do the trick, especially if one doesn't have a specific area for the signature, but they're a bit pricey.... Also, painter's tape comes in different widths and some brands are thinner than the most popular 3M Blue tape... I have 3/4" XFasten brand off Amazon..works well.
  10. Oh, you mean like me...who didn't realize what a window bag was....
  11. It's probably painter's tape. I use it to secure comics to cardboard for shipping. Sticks pretty good and easily peels off the bags without tearing.
  12. That was a concern. Seems that CGC has been flexible with this and comics showing up "too close" to the deadline. Curious how they took care of my comics... did they transfer to window bag? Anyway, very happy with their service.
  13. If it makes anyone feel any better, 11 of 13 of my comics got a 9.8... other two 9.6.... and I must confess, although I have a number of pre CGC signatures (talking 1970 - 80's) this was my first CGC signing event and I didn't learn until after I sent in my comics what exactly a window bag was. Comics were sent in bagged and boarded, wasn't sure how they would be dealt with, and in the end all was well....
  14. I'm glad that someone has read the rules book.... I found the MicroChamber® paper on ebay and bought a short stack... interested to see how it works on a smelly comic. Thanks and welcome to the boards.
  15. I did not know that CGC used micro chamber paper to help preserve the comics and grades. I've wondered what would happen over time to the integrity of the paper and now happy to hear that CGC has taken the steps to help slow the aging process. Been schooled.... thanks.
  16. I had a small group received at CGC on 11/21 and they shipped 1/16 as well. Six days worth of comics signed and shipped in one day??? Maybe?
  17. He's scheduled to sign at the California Comic Con later this month.... I was considering going and bringing comics for him and others to sign. CGC will be there. Now that I've heard his opinion about slabs, if I go, leaving any of his work at home. Not supporting his attitude with signature fees.
  18. Don't forget that the artist is getting a portion of that cool million as well....
  19. Yesterday grading... today shipping... as promised, a quick turn-around. Eight books graded at 9.8 .... other two 9.6.... with no pressing... who can ask for anything more (except maybe a 9.9)
  20. Big number, but divided between how many titles? As an example, lets say that 13000 is divided by 20 different comic books.... that's 650 of each title.... doesn't sound as bad as 13k of the same comic.
  21. Ten of my books that were submitted on 11/15 are now in Grading/Quality Control land... there's the light at the end of the tunnel...
