  1. Yes, lucky you missed the almost painful three hours in line, but once I met and talked with Mr. Steranko it was well worth it.... what a charming individual... as was Joe Staton. Thanks for a great show.
  2. It should used as a reference book, not a price guide... prices listed should only be used as a guide to value/rare/content/hot but not current market prices.
  3. Reminded me of what the b behind the counter at USPS did to packages that I dropped off yesterday.
  4. I like what you said about inspecting a comic in person... big advantage with raw... but as for ebay dealers eating shipping and fees, unless they're not the brightest bulb in the draw, those cost are figured into their asking price.
  5. If you get ebay involved maybe they will adjust your winnings pre-shill and get you a partial refund... you seem to have plenty of evidence.
  6. Last three of my comics (pressed) are finally in shipping mode.... 13 out of 16 = 9.8 ... other three 9.6 ... not bad at all. Maybe soon I'll see movement on my "value" lot that's been there since Nov.13th.....
  7. I don't remember much from that long ago... but getting signatures were free and easy... also have an 11x14 sketch from Jack Kirby.... most vivid memory thou is Vampirella at the costume contest.... I have a picture somewhere.
  8. Holy ComicCon! I must have been in line behind you.... I'm also considering heading down and bringing my E-Man for Joe to sign.
  9. Whoops... Yes, thanks for the correction. I was looking at 48th Overstreet and Nightmare wasn't mentioned until Doc Strange 170 as far as I could see.... I guess he will be highlighted now that he's in Disney's MCU. Digging a bit deeper, looks like Nightmare has had three appearances before Doctor Strange 170.... so 1st appearance in Doctor Strange tilte... I guess that's a thing... maybe?
  10. Has anyone mentioned.... ? Strange Tales 126 .... 1st Clea Doctor Strange 170 ... 1st Nightmare
  11. Some have predicted that a number of comics from this signing will come to market at bargain prices.... your wait may not be long.
  12. Had a small bidding war on a comic that I was selling. Auction ended Sunday night... no word or payment from winner. Sent reminder invoice next day and message last night (Tuesday) asking what his intentions are and to please contact or request cancellation if there was a change of heart... not a word, so I opened a case this morning thinking now I have to wait four days until I can offer to the other bidder. His last feedback from another seller claimed that buyer was "a big waste of his time" so wasn't expecting the guy to pay up, but he did tonight... but still no message. It really irks when these clowns, who probably spend most of their time staring at and texting on their phones, can't simply reply so I know what's going on.... I am tempted to cancel this order and tell him that I sold it to the other bidder because I hadn't heard back from him. There is the risk of negative feedback... so what to do with this id iot ?
  13. I was going off memory so I double checked my comics.... all my bagged are purple web .... I have a combination of grey & purple direct not bagged (store bought 1990).... So no bagged grey, unless someone else had found that to be true. Yikes....
  14. I guess that keeps it simple since web color and bagged/not bagged were the only variations...
  15. Yes, I bought it unbagged (ink still wet) and yes, it is possible that it was pulled by store owner but not likely since bagged version has "collector's item" in big letters. A big selling point. I also have bagged copies with both web colors so.... EDIT.... Checked and my bagged copies are all purple web. Glad I checked.
  16. Yes... I even listed it as regular on the submission form. Maybe it's because of the purplish web color
  17. I believe it was early on in this thread that there was a discussion about Spider-Man 1 regular cover and any differences between polybag and open air copies. I, for one, couldn't find any variants except web color, which I had in both. Interesting that this no-polybag copy came back with label reading "Polybag removed".... wonder what CGC is basing that on?
  18. Seriously.... well, as serious as one can get about funny books.... All signatures are with full name...... T-O-D-D ... nice batch. ... THANK YOU MR. McF
  19. Oh ya... It's the leg lamp that I won. Got just the spot for it.
  20. Wonder what the post office just delivered? Has a few bullet holes.... someone must be shooting at the mail truck again? Took six days to cross the country.
  21. When I use UPS I have the package rerouted to a UPS Store through UPS MYCHOICE.... It's easier than waiting for home delivery since ya gotta sign for the package.
