  1. Im gonna go at some point, ive put in too many decades of fan love and autograph collecting to not at least show my respects. Its going to be a little somber of an affair after seeing the TLJ and what we are learning about the film. I feel i owe it to them for at least one theater ticket paid, probably go early one morning when the kids are in school.
  2. That Kirby Avengers cover for 48k seems like a solid buy all things considered.
  3. Haha, at some point...ive seen sketches lol...but man someone dumped a LOT into that page assuming Bob had worked on it...I just dont know if he ever did. Anyone know why that book and certain others of the era are credited to him ?
  4. Oh come on, its all in good fun. No need to get all serious. I think you have to take all the talk here with a grain of salt, I certainly was. He is what he is. I was just having fun pointing out the tangible facts like what the market thinks he is worth, and how much actual work he did compared to others.
  5. Now that im over my rage at that Perlin2.0 selling well above ARTSOC approved prices.... Do we really thing Bob Kane worked on the Batman 122 pages?
  6. Guys....WTF ARE YOU DOING?!?! WHAT PART OF AVERAGE AND UNWORTHY DIDNT YOU GET?!?!?! I wont say I'm mad....just....disappointed...I thought we instructed you people better than that....sigh....stupid ole Sal.....
  7. My lots are watcher heavy bid poor still, but again there is time.
  8. Actually I thought he made an absolute train wreck of Legion. It was hands down my favorite show for a while, then he started trying to bending characters into impossible situations that completely voided everything he built up to. He spent the entire last season almost as some sort of justification and retcon of the horrible mistakes at the end of season 2. It took creative inventive chaos and vision and turned it into cynical cliched...well anyway let’s say I’m not a total fan of his TV work either.
  9. Yeah I saw some of the comments she was making about this film and how bad it was for people to not see it. Very bizarre, almost as if people were obligated to see it. What’s weird is she made them right as the movie opened, like some sort of weird foreshadowing of the financial disaster this movie was. This movie struck me as one that having a “woke” driving theme wouldn’t have hurt it, like say other reboots we have seen recently. By all accounts as an action film it was decent...just no one wanted to go see it.
  10. I believe the entire plot has already been leaked. Lots of reviews on it, both spinning positive and negative, can be seen on youtube. If the general core they actually all seem to point to is true...its gonna be a very weak ending to a rather sad trilogy.
  11. Actually Sal and Ayers are the only guys to be on the top 25 list for both penciller and Inker. Sal is at the top of both and Ayers middle to bottom but they are only two. Specialization indeed.
  12. ARTSOC jokes aside... I think he "plays well with others" as an inker. He adjusted his style rather well to accommodate who ever he was inking for, especially earlier and in the middle of his 45 year working window. As he got older his work/presence became more pronounced and there is good and bad comes with that. Side note, I pulled top 25 lists for artist across all publishers and then Penciller and Inker for just Marvel. Few things struck me. 1. Wow John did a LOT of pencilled work Marvel. I never would have guessed he was that far above everyone else production wise. 2. Scott Hannah and Vince Colletta are 1/2 on this list yet i cant ever remember seeing either of them pencil much of anything. Talk about focused craft. Shame Vince didn't take his time on Kirby, he really was good when he tried. 3.Sal is the only guy to be on the top ten list for both Pencils and Inks, that really surprises me but the more I think about it , it shouldn't. Guys really specialized, even Al Williamson hardly touched a pencil in his last 26 years of publishing work and its clear that he was great at pencilling .
  13. Oh fine, blow my pic out of the water with your awesome HD screen-grab....
  14. It appears it had an ok one. I don't have cable and watch very little broadcast but I saw multiple online and streaming ads for it, and on the few programs I watch. Usually studios don't spent over 50 million on a film that's designed for mainstream audiences without accompanying advertising. "Woke Angels" works about as well as "Woke Terminator" it seems.
  15. Heist is hands down a top 10 movie for me. It’s probably the best scripted movie of the last 30 years.
  16. The committee has already alerted Heritage that Sal’s prices have already hit the acceptable threshold for his power ranking.
  17. I really liked that movie, I’m amazed so many people hated it. He really was the best part of it. You ever see the heist?! God the dialogue in that one kills me.
  18. Just read some reviews, guess it’s a little preachy woke. Thats a shame, it was such a fun concept. I actually liked the last few movies, especially Sam Rockwells performance.
