  1. I beg to differ on your BB34 comment and offer the CGC census as proof. There are only 381 graded copies, only 26 in 8.5 and higher, no 9.6's, no 9.8's. Compare that to the current hot Marvel key, Daredevil 1. There are 2,126 graded copies, 238 in 8.5 and higher, 2 9.8's, 17 9.6's. In fairness, that is likely a result of lack of interest in slabbing the book heretofore. Just a quick perusal of eBay reveals dozens and dozens of mostly raw copies available. -J. Yes, and they are all lower grades. Also, the number of raw DD1's on E-Bay is not trivial. I agree that any book getting hot will see more in the marketplace but to call BB34 'abundant' is an exaggeration. Jaydog, per your own words, you only believe in the data. I have produced the data and it shows BB34 is not abundant in high grade. It's the same perspective, daredevil has always been "worth slabbing" even in lower mid-grade because it has always been seen as a marvel "key", if an "under-valued" one. So naturally its census numbers will be significantly higher. If B and B 34 actually does become "hot" and more than a few higher grade copies command some serious money, I have no doubt other copies will start appearing. That would seem to be the overwhelming pattern in the age of the slab. -J.

  3. I, for one, can't wait to finally see a Marvel - helmed Peter Parker Spidey. -J.
  4. Costas sold his other 9.6 for $2500 That would make a BIN of $4k for a 9.8 look a bit on the "low" side in comparison. I might have started at $4k with a BIN of $5k. But there's also something to be said for a motivated seller leaving a little meat on the bone for his buyer as well. (thumbs u
  5. ...and just like that, less than a day later...it was gone. -J.
  6. Every time someone mentions this character. You knock it. I finally figured it out. You are trying to keep the price down so you can hoard more of them. Ah you got me ! Actually the only thing I "knock" is deliberate misinformation for monetary gain. I find that crass and bad for the hobby. -J.
  7. Except CBCS white-pagers, which outperform CGC C/OWs. -J.
  8. Nice copy and great signature placement. Congrats on the upgrade too. (thumbs u -J.
  9. Great sig placements and the display is killer. -J.
  10. Excellent and well-thought business decision. No law that says restored must get purple. Nothing deceptive if the label says "restored." +1 Clearly a purposeful choice. Given the PLOD mentality, seems like a good way to distinguish themselves. Just because you disagree with the choice doesn't mean it was a bad decision or not well thought out. The law of unintended consequences: I just look at ALL of their books as if they are restored and zip right by them when I'm browsing online. And you can be certain I'm not the only one doing that. -J. Thank you. That makes them cheaper for the rest of us. Carry on. Yes CBCS books do consistently under perform CGC slabs. You can have them. (thumbs u -J. Thanks, J. All I do is crack them out. And then ... what I have is a great book at a lesser price. It's like magic. (thumbs u -J.
  11. Yea, but she's got no boobs either. She's got a great face and is in TERRIFIC shape. Average body other than the conditioning. Really great face though with a nice devilish smile like Harley should have. +1 Agreed. -J.

  14. Ur just so mean to UF 4. My signature line does little to mask my bias. But I'm also over these silly rumours. Marvel's plans for Spider-Man are already well documented at this point and a new young Peter Parker casting announcement should drop any day. Let this book rise or fall on its own merits at this point instead of continously floating the same bogus nonsense trying to keep it propped up. My 2 cents. -J. Non Peter Parker hater -J.

  16. From what we see in those pics, her backyard is flat as a board. The shorts can't help it. To each their own. I think she is a knockout. You can have the Kim Kardashian butts. Nah you need at least a little something back there. No hips, no waist, no azz = no bueno. Still a hot chick though obviously. -J.
  17. Never going to happen. Somebody must have just gotten some UF 4 slabs back from CGC to sell. -J.
  18. "Other company's" labeling system. Leave a lot to be desired. -J. Not sure if facepalm to my post or to the blue label. I mean it is blue right? I aint THAT drunk. yes but they use blue for restored and unrestored I'm not sure that was such a great idea This will make the other company a dumping ground for restored books. I think it is deceptive. This is a case where the other company simply wanted to do something different than CGC. Not very well thought out. Bad decision. +1 But I think they knew *exactly* what they were doing with that. -J.
  19. 25++ views an hour out the gate. This should be interesting..... -J.

  22. (thumbs u -J. I think 5K is a bit stretching it right now. Time to grade my under copy...maybe a 5.0-5.5. A 4.0 sold for about $4400 and a 4.5 sold for $4500 a little while ago. I think a nice presenting 4.5 would have a shot at $5k with how the book seems to have picked up recently. If not, perhaps a tad bit less IMO. (thumbs u -J.
  23. Hi there, Hawkeye v. Deadpool #0 has a three page cameo of both "spider-gwen" and "lady thor that pre-dates both of their official "first appearances". Any chance the label of that can be updated as such ? Regards, -Jay
