  1. There is absolutely nothing "real" about anything you've said or this sock puppet account you are posting under right now. -J.
  2. What is "relevant" is your opinion. What is "misinformation" is your opinion. Opinion, opinion, opinion. You and your other sock puppet handles on these boards are not the "print run police". You are not the "variant police". You are not the "thought police". And you are certainly not the "language police". You've made your OPINIONS more than clear at this point, ad nauseam. Lord knows you of all people should know by now that exactly this is the kind of thing that repeatedly gets threads locked around here. Peace. -J.
  3. You're still making arguments against things that no one has said. -J.
  4. Opinions, opinions, opinions. You've made yours very clear at this point. Time to move on. -J.
  5. *yawn* Wake me when the studio actually announces something official. (A spin off movie to WB's by far worst performing DCEU movie to date... can't wait!) -J.
  6. Yes of course. After ten years... "This time will be different". (Also, this has nothing to do with predictions of box office returns ) -J.
  7. That isn't what I said. "Your statement of what is not reasonable is, in fact, a statement of opinion." -J.
  8. People do it all the time and will continue to do so, despite your opinions. -J.
  9. Your statement of what is not reasonable is, in fact, a statement of opinion. -J.
  10. You just made an argument for why a person cannot know EXACTLY how many were printed. Which is not a claim that anyone has made. You did not, however, make an argument for why a person still cannot reasonably estimate numbers based on the information he does have. You have merely stated as an opinion why you believe someone should not do that. You are entitled to that opinion. -J.
  11. And this would be your opinion. Hope you're aware of that. -J.
  12. …..and this is completely false. "Variant dumps", while they may feature numerous different variants to choose from, the amount of each book available are almost always very "limited" as specifically stated in the solicitations when Diamond has done those. In other words, inventory from remaindered case packs. Furthermore, "unreported international orders" account for 10% or less of what Diamond ships, which, if anything, can be used as a reasonable counter balance when estimating numbers, given the fact that, as you mentioned, not all orders will qualify for a variant, and that variants themselves are included in the Comichron sales reports. -J.
  13. I love this one too. Dell'otto's use of negative space and light is some of the best in the business right now, and this is a prime example of that. -J.
  14. It is obviously a perfectly rational and reasonable way to get an idea of what's out there. But if anything, doing it that way will skew the estimate HIGHER than what was actually produced and ultimately distributed. -J.
  15. Very cool, thank you for posting. Now I'm wondering where MCS got the 1:50 ratio from (though like I mentioned above, I don't think the distinction really affects the numbers extant for the book in either scenario). -J.
  16. Damn that is nice. I don't think I've ever seen that. -J.
  17. No problem. Great research! Thanks for doing the legwork that I was too lazy to do. -J.
  18. I would like to see a picture or a screen shot of that as well. But given Spawn's low print numbers at the time (~16,000) it would actually be rarer at the 1:50 ratio. -J.
  19. Having been released in 1989 that book is not considered a "modern" by the powers that govern the CGC boards. It also is not a unique cover to the regular version so I would also argue that it is not a "modern variant" like the others on this list in that regard either, even if it were not Copper. -J.
  20. There is a German version of the center one too... I'm just not sure if that's considered a "reprint" of the French version of the same cover. -J.
  21. I don't see verification of that anywhere. The 1:50 ratio number is also reported by mycomicshop: https://www.mycomicshop.com/search?q=Spawn+222&pubid=&PubRng= (although I do understand that they are not necessarily always 100% right either, their database when it comes to this kind of info is usually spot on.) -J.
