  1. good luck! - any idea how the Canada edition performs vs standard??? I am actually thinking of putting up my ASM 3 in that auction.... - financing more buys!!!!!!
  2. Though --- they can see the results of bad pressing like flaring, pebbling, etc ( they have articles about a lot of these items). They will hammer grades for these issues, but still not mark as pressed. For the OP --- CGC has in house pressing - so they could label those as "pressed" --- but this would not be a good business decision as they would mark only their own books. Since most would have a preference for purchasing non-pressed books, this would potentially have a negative impact on the slabs desirability and also lead more people to go outside for pressing so they do not get that mark.
  3. I think you can do this individually --- I use turbo lister and it has an option to turn on global for a single listing. I do not know if I trust that entirely (tutbo lister) - but it is also available as an edit option on ebay. I would try loading one without international, then edit and add the global option. Then - CHECK your other listings, --- ebay has a habit of trying to get everyone on global shipping when they make updates....
  4. one last bundle in the box..... batman shadowbox..... to cool
  5. and the really stupid part of the excuse......... people who do not want to ship overseas - can use the ebay global program. It is NOT the best for a buyer (with all of the discussed overbilling for fees) -- but as as seller it is really simple and low risk. You ship to the US location - and done.
  6. so ---- my reveal ---- I was lucky enough that Azkaban's mini mystery box was available --- right off the bat - I was thrown a fun curve..... Dwayne asked me what I collect..... I know that he is beyond generous with this stuff, but my go to answer would usually be golden age hero comics ( those are my keepers from collections I buy -- or mu board purchases)..... I wanted to choose something I would read ---- so another good catch all is batman related..... so - "smaller than the raffle one" ------ looks like this and a little tease of the inside....
  7. - benefited from one of those random HA occurrences... I was on vacation a fer years ago, and threw in some low-ball bids on three different large groups of GL..... Monday morning - somehow picked them all up ( and at lower than my max bids too). I still have lots of overlap/duplicates from like 30-130....
  8. ---- me assuming they had a store....... I believe this issue here was after the seller shipped---- but the store vacation setting is nice to have.....
  9. some sellers amaze me --- ebay - vacation settings...... so simple to do.....
  10. hey - check over the sales rules - you should post photos in your sales thread - have return information - and a real price ( cant just ask for offers)...... lots of stuff,,,,,,
  11. I would not use media mail - not allowed for comics - you are mostly safe but if caught is can be an issue..... if if you are going for dollar books - I would group in larger lots - use FedEx or ups ground - and try to move in bulk. Or use usps priority medium(they have a flat box that can hold a lot of books)........ the effort to move single dollar books on eBay HURTS.
  12. Hey - what timing ( I am chaperoning a Disney trip - we just stopped for lunch ) -. Torch had a list - but I think my top choice is still available - azkaban mini mysterey box
  13. - yea - I think that this would limit participation - or have a lot of pure junk being used just to get in the door.... When I started doing the contests - I do not think I put anything up the first couple of times ( was always smoked in the 1st round) - - then as soon as there was a chance of me scoring a prize --- started putting up some swag. If there was a required entry - do not know if/when I would have joined.
  14. - I was searching all over to see if that tear was production........ This is is the round where I really needed to NOT go over the hi res scans........
  15. some kind of numbers have been thrown over the wall...... not too sure I would call it grading, lol....
  16. I hit the NCAA tourney lotto - I have ties to both Purdue and Wisconsin I think Purdue is the better team - but Kansas will be tough!
  17. Hard to say -- LR - was one that had to be thrown into the three way dance as his initial submission was interfered with.... The remaining seeds ( hopefully correct) ---- #1: 5 ( and wow - only a single #1 left in the upper bracket) #2: 2 #3: 2 #4: 1 #6: 3 #9: 1 #10: 1 and LR as the lone add-on left ( though he probably would have had a #1 given his track record) ...... Maybe next year - just to drive sckao even more nuts ---- have a separate contest with people actually choosing brackets ( picking who will win each round, lol)..........
  18. - well - the size increases each year - were offered at a great price, so I jumped and had to price out a lot of stuff quickly. Actually - your comments reminded me about the $2 bins - I did not have a plan to make separate bins. I know that some people have them - but was not part of the setup plan for the year. BUT - the timing of it all - I pulled all I had already priced and set up boxes for all new ones. This was quick and easy - and I did not separate/put them in any order. This year - as I have lots already priced - I can seperate and alphabatize/put in numbered order. I know that this ( the scrambled dollar and $2 boxes) - hurt some sales, but not as much as having significantly less product out there.
  19. You would have to be a fool - she would get HALF of your comics!!!!!!!!!
