  1. One of the better chat board urinating matches since they did away with the locked threads points
  2. Yeah this me off too because it usually for a very good cause. It just reminds me of some of the people in this hobby will never change. I think you mean that 'people' will never change. Sometimes some of us like to believe we're somehow 'better' than the rest of the unwashed masses, but in reality we're just a cross section of the population who's hobby (and occasionally business) is related to comics. Doesn't make us any better or any worse, so its full of good people with a few rotten apples looking to take advantage, just like the rest of the world. Not that we shouldn't hold ourselves to a higher standard, if possible, we should. But we should also recognize that we will never be free of that element. Put your hope in a better world, not a perfect world, and act accordingly. Now that was poetry. Chat board prose do not get much better
  3. Does this mean a big time sales thread is coming to a certain chat board in the near future? ?
  4. Yes, that sale was completed and the book has been shipped. It had 14-15 watchers on it. There are Wes Snipes rumors circling the Internet. On a separate note, I sold a Micronauts #1 earlier today. It looks like there is some news out of San Diego. Although not on the level of a Blade 4, it still makes for an interesting talking point for fans of Micronauts and Rom. http://www.comicbookresources.com/article/sdcc-idw-teases-micronauts-rom-projects
  5. BB 60 getting a lot of love in the 2015 OPG, which I picked up yesterday. Carrie Wood also writes a nice featurette on the 50th Anniversary of Wonder Girl.
  6. Fast and safe shipping practices. Accurate grading. Solid and reliable seller.
  7. (thumbs u Thank you. I was going back and forth. All in all a pretty good issue. My opinion is it reads better in trade, but I can't resist reading the day it hits the stands. The issues seem so short when read individually though. It leaves you wanting more
  8. Hes a terrific writer, no doubt. See, you can coax great material out of people here, Gabriel. No matter what happens you should stick around. It's easy to get frustrated and capitulate when things don't go the way we plan. It is entirely possible that you could come up short with the comics, but parlay the valuable life lessons here into a different successful business venture. It's hard enough to buy comics at a price where you can sell them at a profit, let alone when you are telegraphing every move on a public chat board. Sometimes it's best to adapt and move on. Like this 'lil guy here. And remember, even if the comic book dealer/speculator in you doesn't pan out you will always find brotherhood here shared amongst fellow passionate collectors. Godspeed, Sir......
  9. If you can meet your buyers needs and work your way up to top rated seller status your fees will drop to 7.2% on BIN sales. Having an EBay store gives you additional controls and exposure. With the listings that come with the store for the most part it will pay for itself. You can also get your PayPal fees down but you will have to call them first. They typically run 2.9% + $.30 per transaction. At $3000 the following month they drop to 2.5% + $.30. At $10,000 they drop to 2.2% + $.30. There may be additional caveats converting USD to CDN and vice versa. If you can insert these practices you will save about $125 on every $5000 you sell. Good luck (thumbs u
  10. Accurately graded and a hall of fame packing job. Buy with confidence.
  11. Solid seller, well packed, great dude, and a pleasure to work with!!
  12. I'm pretty sure I won't even take the time to read about how awful that movie is let alone urinate away $12 and 2 hours to go see it for myself.
  13. Probably wouldn't qualify as "hot" just yet, but the Anti-Monitor seems to be regaining some prominence in the DC Universe lately. Any chance Crisis on Infinite Earths #6 gets some heat?
  14. Not sure what happened, but that's a great book. Too many armchair qbs out there. Perfect centering and well presenting, it looks every bit a 4.5.
  15. No mention on the label, huh? I wonder if they're all like that or if at some point they started making note of it. IIRC, isn't there an earlier non-comic appearance that some claim to be the actual 1st appearance much like Rocket Raccoon? Thank you!
  16. Metropolis is "across the bay" from Gotham? Interesting observation, but I was more focused on the footnote stating the first Aqualad, Robin Kid Flash team up did not constitute the 1st appearance of the Teen Titans. I have yet to hear a reasonable argument that it should, but Im willing to listen
  17. In The Power of Warlock #3 it's referred to as a "soul-jewel". Seems a bit convoluted. If I had my druthers Id just stick with Marvel Premiere #1.
