  1. DC doesn't have a Wikia site. Wikia has a DC site. Several businesses create and tend their own wikia site. I made one for the online ccg I work for, and I still admin it. Look at Marvels. I can't imagine that Marvel isn't taking a very large role in that site. Could not have said it better myself, stud. Hey, Lazyboy. Why don't you show the world how tech savvy you are and change it on DC Wikia to BB 54? If it's so easy and anyone can do it why not work your magic?
  2. The content is all from contributors. You can edit/contribute to it if you want. That's how wikis work. Chances are it's 100% unaffiliated with DC Comics. You are correct. I just wonder who took the time to monitor/compile all the information originally, Speedy? The poster you quoted, DC Wikia, does he have no relationship with DC comics whatsoever? These are the questions Id love to get answers to. When I look up an indivual on Wiki, I get the impression it is either that individual for a PR rep who compiles and monitors the information. I don't think it's a huge stretch to assume the same may be the case here. After all, if the data were left unmonitored, and if the public were allowed to edit the info unconditionally couldn't we assume that BB 54 would be listed as a first appearance as well. As you can see for yourself, that is not the case: http://dc.wikia.com/wiki/Brave_and_the_Bold_Vol_1_54
  3. So who is it compiling vast amounts of data on each individual comic book? Why isnt BB 54 listed as the 1st app versus 60? Are you saying DC has no input here whatsoever? Please enlighten me.
  4. When/where did DC say otherwise? Although I guess that's not actually from DC. Wow. There's tens of thousands of comics on that DC wikia. Is this orchestrated by a guy that has literally dedicated his life to documenting every DC comic ever printed along with its contents or is it something monitored by a represent the company itself? Either way, I think it would be hard to debate against the BB 60.
  5. Does DC monitor their Wikia sites? The link I provided lists 60 as the first appearance if you scroll down a bit.
  6. The census #'s for the #60 in 9.2 or better are absolutely ridiculous. It looks like there are <70 copies on the census period. After reading the other threads, I have yet to see even one poster defend the BB 54. I know OPG is set in its ways, but CGC is the kingmaker. Do you think they would side with OPG or with DC themselves in this instance?
  7. So is BB 54 or BB 60 the first Teen Titans? OPG and CGC list it as BB 54, however........ http://dc.wikia.com/wiki/Brave_and_the_Bold_Vol_1_60 DC seems to think otherwise. The name "Teen Titans" also never appears in BB 54. Is CGC right on this or is DC?
  8. Andy is a stud! The lone OAAW 83 pedigree. Hot damn!!
  9. I think you missed the boat on that one. It was selling for more the first two weeks it was released. http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_sacat=0&_nkw=walking+dead+127&LH_Complete=1&LH_Sold=1&rt=nc I agree about the timing. I do believe this book could end up being significant with Magna and BERNIE being introduced. They may end up being unimportant bit players but it doesn't seem like it to me. Bernie is a living legend Time will tell. I've sold a few raws recently >$20. I'm thinking its got legs, but Ive been wrong before.
  10. I had a nice copy of this comic but had no idea what I was selling when I let it go. Yep, this wasn't always considered Darkseids first full appearance. OPG always had it as such, but CGC called it a cameo. He's not on every page of the book, but he's in it enough. 6 panels I believe, spread across 3-4 pages with plenty of speaking. He plays a slightly larger role than Gamora in ST 180, which is considered her first full. When its close, sometimes picking up a reader and doing some due dilligence can make a world of difference.
  11. My top pick as well, guys. I already have 3 CGC 9.6's though (and maybe 15 other copies, some graded) and a copy signed by Kirby..... I need to diversify. I don't plan on bidding on this one.
  12. Lots of other fish in the sea and ya can't keep a good man down. Pick up a bottle of cheap tequila and surf adult friend finder. It's the American way.
  13. Personally, I think both BA/CA books have a huge upside. As to B&Bs not so much. I think they are where they are and will stay here. I think someone (or perhaps several peeps) are hoarding the BB 60's, my friend (its not me I swear). Any decent copy (6.5+) is getting scooped almost immediately.
  14. I still think DC Comics Presents 26 has some upside but my TTT 44's got pounded with offers this weekend. I'm more partial to BB60 than 54. If I had to choose which is the legit 1st app I think you have to side with the issue where they are referred to by name. This could get interesting.
  15. Check out some of the prices in this weeks comiclink auction. Chuck could be right. A Cerebus #1 9.2 might have come within an earshot of $4k. This is one of the strongest auctions Ive seen in recent menory. Too bad these sales won't report to gpa.
  16. I was at Churchill Downs Saturday. I lost about $100 despite hitting a $50 exacta on the 1st race.
  17. I would buy the ugliest WBN 32 9.6 on the planet for $1000. That book is moving up the charts like Casey Kassum after a pot of coffee.
