I have already received the books I previously bought on this thread. They were strictly graded, mailed promptly and wrapped up in some bulletproof packaging! I could not recommend Paul more highly.

Thank you!!

PGM very low grade ASM #1
ender replied to Motor City Rob's topic in Hey buddy, can you spare a grade?
I have seen "remainder" copies get 1.0. I don't think this is missing more than that, it is just on the other half of the cover. Bottom vs Top. I would think 1.0 -

This was a freebie I didn’t even ask for. I had just called the Cerebus office (the phone number used to be on the comics) and asked about buying OA. Dave answered the phone himself and apologized he didn’t have any of the pages I was looking for but asked for my address so he could send me a letter if any of them turned back up. A week later this came in the mail. Really like it. The signature and personalization are in ball point pen and fading even though it is t in the sun. I think that is a product of the tracing paper. Anyway I really like it and am glad it is personalized. -

I like the ones I have gotten, and asked usually for the personalization, knowing that eventually that would reduce the value if I sell it to someone else. -

Agreed. Good restoration would also not cause harm to the rest of the book it touches. The same cannot be said of common tape.

That's a great story and the book seems in pretty good shape all things considered!

Really enjoying reading this thread. Some incredible book in there. I always loved this character and the lore surrounding the series. I like to get other artists take on it too and this seemed like a place to show them off where they would be appreciated.

An attractive 4.0 Nice book.

If it is too rich for anyone’s blood I could give you a slight downgrade of a restored 6.5 for only 50% of what they are asking for that 8.0!!

If this has been covered in another area I am sorry about that, but I thought this would be the best place to ask for educated opinions: Why is Gwen Stacy's first appearance have so much more dollar value than Mary Jane's? Just a quick look on eBay shows an 8,5 of 31 selling for $1600, while an 8.5 of 43 sold for $449. I think Mary Jane is the far more important character with many more appearances over more years in the series. Is it the idea of Gwen's death that drives it up? I was thinking it might be the murkiness of Mary Jane's first appearance. There is the cameo in 25, you get the iconic scene at the end of 42, or the first full appearance in 43. Anyway I was just wanting some other folks opinion on it. Thanks!

The next best thing to a great cover is a great SPLASH!
ender replied to Paul © ® ⚽️💙™'s topic in Golden Age Comic Books
I bought this spy smasher 7 coverless just for this splash page. There are probably other double page splashes in GA books but I am just not aware of any of them. Sorry that I can't figure out how to rotate the picture. -
Yea I saw it in the evening and it was still there in the morning so I grabbed it. It is lower grade but feels really solid, and at least Marie Nelson has good penmanship.
