I put in my profile, that I'm aware this site is for Slabbed comics but I'm only making this as a personal list for me? Is there a way I can Make a list to where it doesnt show up to others? I'm not trying to make the list to show comics off to others, I've always wanted to have a list of my keys with Pictures... theres got to be a way I can UNLIST my comics so others cant see them right? any advice?? is there a way you can block me so My comics dont show up and bother you? or do you know of a similar site that is for RAW comics? EDIT******************************************** figured it out...All I have to do is NOT check the "Active" box....and Then My comic wont show up to others... I'm in the process now of going back and updating them and unchecking the "Active" box.... any future comics I add shouldnt show up anymore and All the other comics I added will soon be going away as I update them sorry for bombarding the site...I didnt even know I was doing it and I never even wanted to do it...

Hey just wanted to see if anyone on here has a Collection of Signature Comics With Signatures from The Actors that played the characters? Obviously I know Signatures from Comic book artists are Popular...but I was looking at another site and saw someone who's putting together a collection of Signature comics where they are getting The Actor's that Played the characters to sign them... for Example They had Avengers #257 With Karen Gillan's signature Amazing Spider-Man #135 With Jon Bernthol's signature and Captain America #118 With Anthony Mackie's Signature I had never thought about getting The Actor's signatures on Key Issues before and just thinks its a cool idea and wanted to see if anyone here was doing the same thing and might post some pictures or could describe their Signature comic collection signed by actors? thanks

thats awesome... I've got 10 copies somewhere and need to dig then out here soon... When I was going through my collection in 2013...I remember running across a full set of The Eternals...and In 1 bag there was 10 copies of #1...at that time it wasnt very valuable and I didnt consider it a major Key so I didnt pull it...buuuuuut now somewhere in the Mound of boxes I know its there and Plan on finding them soon... Its incredible how hot comics get when A movie is announced... I couldnt believe how HOT Hulk 271 got... I remember going through my Hulk collection in 2013 and 271 was $5.00... Then I check in 2016 and Its RED HOT around $200.00 I couldnt believe how overnight when the first trailer of Ant-Man and The Wasp debuted and revealed Ghost ...Iron Man 219 got Hot and same with Avengers 223, when The Civil War trailer debuted with AM on Hawkeyes arrow Its incredible what Movies have done for comics in the last decade +

If your interested I have a ton of pics in my profile of my collection that I inherited from my Grandpa under "about me"... When I inherited it, it was 175 Boxes, It took me 3 years to go through it and get it the way it is now, I had to buy new Boxes, New Bags and bags for every comic...then had to go through and grade every comic and makes lists...it was a 3 year Quest that I will forever remember as one of the greatest experiences of my life(except the unfortunate death of my grandfather whom I was incredibly close with) There end up being about 85 to 90 boxes of Marvel and DC, which I kept as my own personal collection...the rest was western,archies and dell...

thank you... I'm not slabbing it, I dont have any of my comics slabbed...just trying to get knowledge on how to grade it... I joined a site where you can make Lists with Pictures...and I'm making a list of my Keys with Pictures and I just didnt know how to grade it, I thought by cutting the piece off it could effect the grade so I wanted some advice(which I've gotten) thanks one more question though... If nothing was done to the comic, If no one had tried to tape a piece on... would it still be graded as a 3.0 with Just The Clipped corner?

would it help to cut the piece off? leaving only the tape? right now theres a Piece taped on to the corner, the piece has a Pen Mark on it, But I could easily cut the piece only leaving the tape... you think that would help any?

I found Ms. Marvel 1,16,17 and 18....all in the same bag and backer mixed in with a Werewolf By Night Set...the other 3 are all 6.5 or higher...I'll happily take 3 out of 4 being good... Ms. Marvel 18 is still perfectly reasonable...I'll probably upgrade down the road... The only reason I added to this forum was for knowledge..I wanted to know what that Kind of damage did to effect the grade... I knew detached covers effects the grade a lot, but there was more going on here, The way there were HOLES around where the staples were...I just wanted to get opinions on how badly that effects the grade for future knowledge

Hey This has a problem that I dont know how to grade... The top right corner is clipped...and someone Taped A small piece back in place, there is a Pen mark on the piece added but the Pen mark in not on the book itself, If you removed the Piece added the Pen mark would go with it... I dont want to remove the piece though because I'm afraid the tape will rip the comic...I could easily cut the piece off and The Pen Mark would go with it, leaving only the tape behind...but I dont know...I just dont know what to do or how to grade Its also got a tiny piece missing from the bottom right hand corner. overall the book is pretty nice but has these 2 defects Thoughts on this comic and the problem? thanks Also would this have been better to post in the "Comic Book Grading and Restoration" forum? I thought about it before posting but didnt know which one to post in?

I can now see why.... I wish I had a better collection of Flash... I get quite jealous when I see other people's collections.... unfortunately It just wasnt in the cards....I inherited my collection and I just didnt get great sets of DC, at this point I think it would be too difficult to try and put together Flash 105 to 150.... Also didnt get ANY Brave and The Bold.... did however get great sets of Green Lantern and Justice League... DC wasnt nearly as important to my grandfather than Marvel....He had near complete sets of all the Major Marvel sets... But DC just wasnt nearly as complete. He had some Silver Age runs of Batman,Superman,Detective,Action, and Adventure...(not complete) He Had Great, Near complete Sets of Green Lantern, Justice League.... and Then A decent set of Flash... I did find a good set of Hawkman... I think at this point, I may just have to focus of DC Keys....I'm not going to be able to put together good sets of Flash,Brave and The Bold or complete the Silver Age Batman,Superman,Detective,Action, and Adventure at this point This site can be BOTH Brutal and Amazing. I get so Jealous when I see other peoples comics that I dont have....But I also feel so Grateful and Proud when I see Comics that I have that are better or similar to others... I've been heavily into comics for 12 years now....and for all that time I never even knew this forum existed...I would have loved to have been on this forum when I inherited my collection and was going through it...I had no one to talk to about comics during this ....I would have loved to have asked advice and shown off the comics I was finding. Dear lord this is my worst nightmare.... I wish I could explain The Lengths I've gone to to try and make my house secure just for this exact reason! but I must say...I'm not entirely sure what the problem is here or at least why they havent been caught...they literally have their license plate number... assuming they were simply stupid and used their OWN car and plate...It should be extremely easy for police to find them...Lol they have a perfect picture of they guys face I hope this has a happy ending, It should be as simply as looking up their plate, bringing them in, arrest them, Interrogate them, Pressure them, and them tell where the collection is. Hopefully They didnt have a Buyer set up immediately after stealing them...Hopefully they are sitting on them

Unfortunately When I inherited my collection...The Flash was not one of the better sets... It started at #151... but I do have this one Key...

I'm not sure about the top staple...It looks odd to me...just wanted your opinions? its got a few color breaks on the spine and on the back in the upper right hand corner its a tiny crease(TINY) thanks

wasnt sure if I should post this here or a different forum This book has damage and I dont know how to grade it could you please look at the damage/detached cover and tell what kind of grade the book is.. thanks

it stuns me that you pretty much have a complete ASM 1 to 100 in 8.0 or better(most 8.5 to 9.4) and yet someone with only 2 Books(assuming they are AF 15 and ASM 1) are ahead of you. I guess it goes to show the value of those 2 books... But still it just doesnt seem right. also. thank you for posting this...all of my comics are raw...but looking at this list...I'm now fully confident if I ever did have my 1 through 100 graded and would rank maybe pretty high on this list....not top 10 or anything but I think maybe a 40 to 80 ranking is possible... although I'll never know for sure as I'll never get my 1 to 100 CGC graded but it at least is cool knowing I THINK if I did, I could at least be in the top 40 to 80...

Oh Lord no... call me crazy, but I would much rather have my collection of amazing ASM than a Single issue of AF 15 low grade.... believe it or not...this site drives me crazy and makes me so grateful at the same time.. I cant help but see others people's books and get jealousy, but at the same time I see other people books and am so grateful that I either have the same or better. but there are times when I see An ASM #1 9.0...Or Hulk #1 8.5....and I think jesus...that 1 book is probably worth more than my entire collection...but then I think to myself...its a great book but I'd rather have my collection, I'd rather have 1200 + Low,Mid and High grade keys and near complete sets of the Marvel and DC.. I can completely understand why anyone might pick the 1 really High Grade Book like ASM 1 9.0....but for me personally..I'd rather have my 90 boxes and countless Keys than just 1 Really Great book. Now it would clearly be much easier to sell and get the value out of that 1 really nice book....but for me who hopes to DIE with my collection...thats not an issue. If I really took like time, I might be able to get 20 to 25 thousand for my ASM collection....that might buy a 2.0 to 3.0 AF 15. for me at the end of the day...I would just LOST....that 1 AF 15(2 to 3.0) just wanted be as great as my ASM collection but you bring up a great question? for collectors that have a large number of silver age keys and sets....of course they have value, Books like Hulk 102, Cap 100 and Iron Man 1 are great...but would it be better just to sell your entire collection and Buy like 5 of the Holy Grails at the highest grade? for me, I got 85 to 90 boxes,I've got about 20 + Major sets near complete and about 1200 + Keys(I've got about 8 Holy Grails/) If you were looking to ONLY Maximize the value and future Value....would it be better to sell the entire collection now... then simply try to get Maybe A FF 1, TOS 39, X-Men 1, JIM 83 in low to mid grade... would these major keys go up in value more in the future than 1200 small, Medium and Big Keys and 20 + Major sets... I got to believe, probably selling the collection and buying a few holy grails would be the best way to maximum value and future value...but I just couldnt do it... that would be great for someone who's NOT a COMIC lover...for me...I couldnt imagine losing my entire collection for 3 or 4 books with around the same value...

For me...It wouldnt even be close...ASM 1-100-9.8.... but I completely understand why others would serious consider the 10.0 AF 15 I wonder what would be more valuable. If A 10.0 AF 15 surfaced and was put up for sale....it would have the attention the entire comic book world...every Major collector on earth would probably try to bid on it. It would be The once in a lifetime chance to say You own the single greatest Silver age comic in existence and Maybe the greatest Comic book in existence PERIOD... A got to believe A 10.0 AF 15 would at least in the same league with the Milehigh 9.2 Action #1 for the greatest comic on earth so I completely understand the Why anyone would pick the AF15 but dear lord, I would rather have the greatest ASM collection of all time, assuming that came with a 9.6 AF 15

I'm close as well... I'm missing 3,8,11,12,13,14 and I'm complete from 1 to 241... I'm then missing about 50 filler issues from 242 to 670 ... Not counting AF 15...I no longer count that as Missing because at this point I dont think Ill ever have it... would LOVE to get the 6 issues I'm missing form my 1 to 15 though...It would be Great to say I'm complete ... as for a complete collection of 9.8s and 9.6 where 9.8s dont exist...I just wish I could get a ball park value on it... for example if the owner tomorrow had a near death experience that completely changed him and no longer had any desire to collect comics...I'm just curious to what the collection would be worth if he sold it? would he get the most value trying to sell it as a complete collection(as the world greatest ASM collection)....Or would he get the most value trying to sell it at an action where they advertised for months and months and sold each issue individually... I got to believe he would at least be looking at over 15 Million right? the 9.6 AF 15 would probably top 2 or 3 million + alone

so I was going through the collectors society rankings... and of course I ran into the number 1 rated ASM collection. Basically The owern has a collection entirely of 9.8's...I think there might be like 6 or so issues from 1 to 100 that are 9.6...but its basically a 9.8 collection. I dont see any way anyone could ever top this collection as I'm sure the owner will upgrade the few 9.6's to 9.8's .... So my question is...has anyone ever figured out what the value of a complete 9.8 ASM collection would be... I get that when were talking comics at that high of grade, the value is basically what someone will pay for them... but I'm talking like a rough estimate...does anyone got like a rough estimate of what an entire ASM 9.8 collection would be worth? has any added up the overstreet guide's list of every issue at 9.8 and got a total value? thanks.

why did you get rid of them? do you have any pics of them? also what period of time was your "SA collecting years"....how long did it take you get all the Highest Graded Copies... Just interested in your story...

thanks I definitely agree A Press could improve this one I got it graded as a 8.5 to be safe, But I think a press could get it to 9.0
