  1. There are plenty of individual collectors and dealers out there trying to manipulate the prices on particular books and runs. HA doesn't have to bother.
  2. My pay has increased 40% since COVID started. That's with no promotion of any kind—that's how much my employer has raised pay in order to retain people. House prices around here are up at least 40% since COVID started, too.
  3. It's a Mickey taillights cover, and GMA (good mouse art) is scalding right now.
  4. Lively redhead to sleeping redhead; plain 'ol Black Cat to Black Cat Mystery.
  5. I think it's technically a 5.5, but I'd expect it to sell at a discount to the typical 5.5 because of the tanning.
  6. Welcoming committe of 2 XL to welcoming committee of 6 XS.
  7. Alas, poor Yorick, he missed out on his book! (Sorry, I couldn't resist.) Great thread! It looks like Flanagan's finest work was was outside of the comic industry, but of his comic book covers, I think like the More Fun 45 the best.
  8. People are underestimating how much inflation has occurred in the past 18 months. I'm going to predict that it will reach $1.5 million easily because $1.5 million in December 2021 dollars is probably less that $1 million in December 2019 dollars. I think it'll be a while before we can gauge inflation with some perspective.
  9. There's a perfect place in my house for the girl on the cover. I'm with the dude on the left—it may be fun.
  10. At one time I planned to upgrade this copy, but the Promise Collection opened my eyes about grading. Now I don't care.
  11. For me, the Okajima story is good, but not good enough to make up for the writing on the cover. I may be one of the only collectors who would rather have a NON-camp example for my collection.
  12. Yeah, I don't actually think the he submitted the artwork, that was probably done by a staff artist as well.
  13. Only the poem (and possibly the artwork) in the lower right-hand corner was by Kamen. The issue is Fight 21.
  14. Only the poem in the lower righthand corner was submitted by Kamen The artwork in the center must have been done by one of Fiction House's staff, possibly Nicholas Viscardi (known to Silver-Age DC fans as Nick Cardy). He was their resident pornogra—I mean, he was their resident "good" girl artist.
  15. Here is more interior art from the same issue. I don't know who the artist is on these, but the poem was sent in by Private Jack Kamen of Fort Monmouth, New Jersey.
  16. Good pick ups, both. I forgot to bid in the CLink auction last night. With the weekend starting, I always seen to forget about Friday auctions.
  17. Some people just have to spend money if they have it. I've had people like that in my own family. Americans are sitting on more cash than they have been in decades, and prices are going to stay high until people burn through all the cash that they're sitting on right now. Massive inflation is already here, but people don't realize it yet. They will.
