I did see your book when you posted it a few months ago. That Australian edition is a beauty. I thought the picture frame theme may have been used in a different title, with different characters, but I'm probably wrong.

I have seen this cover before, Gene. I remember Reggie's lecherous look! And I think this gag was used on another cover, but I don't know which one.

I may be wrong, but it looks like the right edge was trimmed. On a perfectly centered copy, the 12c circle just barely touches the left edge, and the Fantasti-car just barely touches the right edge. Your copy is slightly off left of center. There should be more paper visible on the right edge.

I have a new fondness for the first appearance of Doctor Doom. My granddaughter has been researching our family tree, and one of my ancestors is D. Doom, circa 1680. Sounds like a swell guy.

Still a nice looking book. I'd say at the very least, 3.0 . That's a half point better than my copy.

I was thinking of the more expensive or rarer books. Each of these books is the sole highest graded copy. There is no record of sales in these grades for these issues. Anyone who buys these without questioning their good fortune is looking the other way, imo.

Were they shipped to the wrong address or to the wrong person? Is the recipient a CGC customer?

It's sad to think that there is a market for rare stolen comics. Any collector who would buy these is worse than the thief that stole them.

The staples look a little rusty, not a big deal though. Doesn't seem to have migrated through the paper. How tough is it to replace them?

I'm so old my comic collection was kept in a Kmart footlocker (storage trunk). I never heard about bags or boards until the '70s.

Here's a link to the Ebay auction for this book... Daredevil #1 CGC .5 The book does look a little worse in the listing than in the video. Here is a different DD #1, CGC 1.0. It has a large piece missing from the lower left front cover, but no fading. Daredevil #1 CGC 1.0

I couldn't watch the whole video, it's possible the book is incomplete, and that info is missing on the label. If the interior is complete, it should have graded higher imo. Maybe 1.0 to 1.5.

I can certainly relate to that. The thrill is in the chase.

That Flash #128 is a neat cover, great artwork that draws you in. Makes me want to read the story to find out what the heck is going on! Nice haul. You should post a current spreadsheet with each new update, I'd certainly send you links to some good deals on the missing books. I'm somewhat surprised that most of these issues haven't come from the boards. I only collect 1 of the 10 titles you're looking for, so I'm no help at all. I'll check to see if I have any ASM duplicates.

The book looks nice structurally, very vivid colors. I'm leaning toward 5.5 to 6.0, a clean and press would probably bump it up a notch.

Thank you for taking me behind the scenes to see the processes involved in creating this. The concept is wonderful, and I am eagerly awaiting each update. Trixie is an inspired choice for a new character.

Hey! I was serious! Do a CGC book at least once a week... we could use the practice.

I nominate Point Five to host a daily thread "Guess The CGC Grade". Best poker face I've ever seen. He's tipped his hand, though. He smilingly said lovely. He likes the grade. I'm upping my guess from 3.5 to 4.0.

"Fake labels and inner wells" ? Aren't CGC cases advertised as "tamper evident" cases ? Wouldn't there be serious damage to the case if the inner well was replaced? This sounds like hokum to me.
