  1. I thought the Goblin was silly looking when I saw that issue 14 on the rack. I still bought it though. My favorite issue is #12, seeing Spidey unmasked (NOT A DREAM! NOT AN IMAGINARY TALE!) was traumatizing. I vote for Doc Ock.
  2. You're welcome. The guys like to haze the newbies, think of it as your initiation to the boards. They're good, kind people most of the time.
  3. The boards can be tough on someone who thinks outside the box. You'll have to state a return policy or the moderators will pull your thread. Good luck with the sale!
  4. Only 4 on the CGC census. Tried to find a slabbed image, no luck.
  5. Everyone must be spending their money on holiday gifts, I think.
  6. I don't have a list, but here's an issue I picked up a few months ago. And a Spider-Man too!
  7. I don't know Jeremy, and have had no transactions with him. I find it hard to believe that his absence and lack of communication is intentional. I fear that something has happened to him or his family. Keep him in your thoughts and prayers.
  8. I totally agree with this. The buyer should have offered Raze extra money to pay for the indestructible packaging he wanted, especially since he got the comic dirt cheap.
  9. My introduction to Stan was Amazing Spider-Man #7. I was 7 years old. Spidey should have been required reading in the 2nd grade. So much better than that "see Richard and Jane" drivel we were learning in school.
  10. Thanks to the op for starting this thread, and to everyone who put the pieces of this puzzle together. I hope I haven't had any transactions with this seller, that Ebay seller i.d. sounded awfully familiar. There doesn't seem to be an easy way to check that on Ebay, other than searching through past purchases, item by item. Might be better off searching through Paypal.
  11. That's a tough one! The missing artwork would be a deal breaker for me, but if you just want to display it, you could print the missing section and put it in a mylar. Many years ago, I sold a Hulk 181 at auction. It had a similar defect, the entire top right corner was missing from the entire book, about a 1 inch triangle . The winning bid was higher than I expected. I thought the buyer overpaid, so I included a nice reader as a bonus. Giant Size X-Men #1.
  12. Love the signature. It looks like it's hanging from Spidey's web !
  13. Great. Now I can't get Julie Andrews to stop singing in my head.
  14. The new issues used to go from the printer to the distributors in bundles, wrapped in string. My question is, what did you do about your purchase? Did you contact the seller?
  15. One was Danger Girl in a bubble bath. Couldn't bring myself to send it back.
  16. Years ago, I received 2 CGC comics from an Ebay seller. The books came together in a Priority Mail box. Both CGC cases were broken. They had been placed in the box with no packing material whatsoever. The comics weren't expensive, and appeared to be undamaged. I contacted the seller, explaining what I had received. I told him that I didn't want to return them, and wanted nothing from him. He was very apologetic, and said that someone else had packed the books, and he would make sure it wouldn't happen again. I spend way too much time educating Ebay sellers.
  17. Hi JF! Nice to see another of your sales threads. Do you combine shipping on multiple slabs or raws?
