  1. When it came to supporting my hobbies or interests, my parents where sh-t. I remember my dad getting mad at me for some petting reason and grabbing a pile of my books and throwing them across the room. Once I had my best books displayed on the floor and my mom walked back. She was indifferent and instead of walking around the books, she stepped on them as she went by. Seriously, my parents were never great. My dad passed away years ago and I honestly don't miss him. The bad memories outweigh the good. Not on good talking terms with my Mom either. No, their attitudes towards my hobbies were not the cause of our rift, but it didn't help either.

Tough book to find in hi-grade. Congrats. Really bewildered as to why this book doesn't get more attention and/or recognition than it does.
  3. My last purchase was 4/12/2018 according to my records. Bid on a few losing items since, but was just not motivated to really chase any them. I'm not saying I'm completely out of the hobby, but I've more than slowed down as far as collecting goes.
  4. I'd like to see Planet of Vampires made into a feature film or Netflix series if they can manage it.
  5. I don't have a lot of OA in general let alone of modern stuff, but I do have this piece. Seems to garner a lot of mixed reactions with people. Some love it, some hate it. Detective #823, pp7.
  6. I saw him on an episode of Comic Book Men a few years back and was shocked at how far his health seemed to have deteriorated. Great man. Really appreciated his fans by all accounts. RIP. Say hello to Alec and Carrie for us.
  7. With the number of times characters are resurrected every other week, I'd say it'd be wrong to NOT use the quotes.
  8. Dunno, but I'd bet Tom Cruise is campaigning for it.
  9. Look at the top and bottom right corners. https://comics.ha.com/itm/bronze-age-1970-1979-/conan-the-barbarian-24-twin-cities-pedigree-marvel-1973-cgc-nm-94-white-pages/a/121203-10157.s?ic4=ListView-ShortDescription-071515#
  10. Yeah, I really love this period too. Next to maybe DC's 100 pager run, this is my favorite era of comics.
  11. Depends on the book. If it's a cheap reader, I don't care.
  12. I'd say it's probably this one. Maybe not my most valuable, but it's the one that started my interest in pursuing Adams Bats.
  13. Steppenwolf - New Gods 7. The absolute, main reason why I gave up chasing after a high grade run of Kirby's New Gods. No way in hell I'm paying the stupid, inflated prices for a book based on flipper's speculation for a failed movie.
  14. Bored tonight so I'm posting this. Picked this up a couple of years ago in a $3 bin. Don't collect war books, but I really love this cover (not to mention I was floored by the condition). Combat 21 (1966).
  15. I like my slabs to be as uniform as possible, which means I prefer the blue. Personally, I'm not crazy about the old labels whether they're red or blue. This is one of the few I have, but I'm too cheap to have it reholdered.
  16. The absolute best written and beautifully drawn Satana story of the era was Marvel Preview #7, bar none. The sexy cover drew you in, but it was the internals that blew you away. Unfortunately, this book is out of reach for most collectors these days. https://www.youtube.com/embed/Fnk-6cy3Qn4
  17. I've got to get me a copy of the Demon one, but this past year I picked up a copy of the complete Kirby Fourth World to go along with my copy of Jimmy #134. Awesome collection.
