  1. Well, at least your dog has great tastes in what books she wants to chew.
  2. Gotta have some Conan in this thread.
  3. Just got this for $50 shipped. A book from my childhood. Love the 4th world saga.
  4. RIP. Still the best Outer Limits episode ever.
  5. Because I’m still one of the few remaining sword & sorcery fans out there, I’ve got all the Wulf and Ironjaw books. Really like the Planet of Vampire books as well. Too bad that story arc never completed.
  6. According to my records, it's still my copy of Bats 227 - $1700 back in mid-2011. It was like the second slabbed book I've ever bought. Overpaid for it and it took me about 6-8 months to pay it off.
  7. Absolute nada for me thus far. Not really impressed with this round of auctions. Still have a few bids out on some lower end books that I might still win, but nothing to write home about win or lose.
  8. I got back into the hobby in 2010 after a 30 year hiatus. Unless you're investing, I recommend collecting the trades and catching up on all the great story lines.
  9. I would imagine since they keep grader's notes on record, then records of PQ would be included as well.
  10. Nice book. I actually like Big Barda more than Mr. M. Just undecided if I want to pay the insane prices for Issue #4.
  11. As hard as I tried, I didn't find anything I wanted to buy. All the stuff I wanted was still a bit on the expensive side for me. Didn't take advantage of the deal.
  12. I would love to have the HC version of Origins of Marvel Comics by fireside. Only saw one or two come up for sale in the last few years. Always, the price was way over what I wanted to pay for the condition that it was in.
  13. Congrats. I'm really surprised this book hasn't taken off yet considering how much attention female comic book characters have gotten of late.
  14. I'd be interested in the '51 Bowman set or some of the other sports cards he has, but I can't tell if that's included in the package price or something separate.
  15. I only have one. Bottom right corner is the only thing keeping this from being a 9.4/9.6 as far as I can tell.
  16. Always loved that Starlin cover. I remember buying it from my favorite outdoor newsstand (just outside the Arlington Station T stop in Boston) and walking through the nearby Boston Common park with that book.
  17. I've found on at least two occasions someone smearing snot in between the pages. Probably just young kids as these were early BA books. Never found a pube in my comics, but when I collected sport cards, I did get a slab back from PSA where a pube was encapsulated with the card by accident. Not sure what the hell they were doing that a pube would wind up where it was. I still have the card, it's a 1989 Score [glossy variant] Roger Clemens in PSA 9.
  18. If the pinhole is only on the cover, that might have been a defect with the paper before it was printed, but I don't if CGC would approach this the same way they do with print creases though. Too bad as this is a very nice book. I would have given it a 8.5-9.0 as is if you ignore the hole.
  19. This was the last book of the Adams run and one of my favorites. If they ever decide to reboot this Lupus character, I think this book would take off. Like Smith with Conan #24, I think Adams went out with a bang with a great, tightly written -script by Wein. I think I have about 5-6 copies of this book.
  20. I read the jump that Marvel made was to bait DC to follow suit. Once DC went to .25 and committed themselves, Marvel jumped down to .20 to undercut the competition. Dirty tactics of the day.
  21. I like that cover a lot too, but I'm not sure if its my favorite though (Issue #24 for me), even though I've got about 3 copies of that book. Definitely the best usage of color though in my opinion. Really makes it stands out when compared next to the other issues.
