  1. Yah know, I hear a lot of praise for the original movie, but I never liked it. Thought it was a bit disappointing and played a like an R rated TV movie to me with everyone overacting. I remember rolling my eyes multiple times throughout the film. Let's hope this one is a little bit better.
  2. We're also excluding homage covers in addition to "recycled" covers, correct? Otherwise, 'Tec 31 has been done over several times.
  3. I recently saw Hostiles with Christian Bale. Towards the end of the movie, Wilson surprised me with an appearance as one of characters. This must have been his last role before he passed. Great actor.
  4. Having had the bulk of my pricey sports card collection stolen years ago in a break-in, I hide everything now. In fact, in additional to a subscription security service, I even booby trap my closets and cabinets with secondary alarms. To bad local laws prohibit me from using anything more lethal.
  5. 119 and 120 should be a matched pair. Great, pre-Gwen death story, but no where near a key.
  6. Just realized I've only bought three slabs this year and only a handful of loose reader comics and magazines. Yeah, made a lot of bids in the various auctions, but they were never aggressively pursued. More like tracker bids. Other than Kirby's 4th World Omnibus, I haven't bought a lot of trades either. Kind of weird to say it, but I'm pretty satisfied with my small collection right now and think I'm going on hiatus again, the last time being a 30 year break. Anyone else frequent this board, but don't really collect any more?
  7. A bit over priced IMO, but I guess that's what the MAKE OFFER option is for. There's a quite a market out there for old, original photos. If I recall, these sold at a very good price the last time I saw it at auction.
  8. I remember buying that book off the stands back in the day.
  9. I certainly hope so Would be about damn time!
  10. I think it gets more confusing when you have characters whose first appearance features them as someone entirely different than the character they've become later on. Carol Danvers versus Ms/Capt Marvel is such case. Maybe to a lesser extent, Misty Knight.
  11. I know Kirby is KIng, but sometimes I shake my head when it comes to his facial expressions. Dunno if it's fear, anger, or whatever on Cap's face. More like "WTF?".
  12. Yeah, no kidding. Life does get in the way. It's been over two years and I still haven't gotten around to upgrading any of my 9.2s and 9.4s, although I may just hang onto some of the 9.4s since they're pedigrees. That annual #1 has got to be one of the most iconic Smith Conan covers of all time. Not quite as good as the one used for Marvel Treasury Edition #4, but close.
  13. I would love to have the original artwork for this page. Classic panel.
  14. Great to see Savage Tales 1 seeing some interest. Even at the $1400+ sold price, I think this book is undervalued. Just wish they'd give Man-Thing a decent on screen treatment. The first movie was a joke.
  15. I would try over at the PSA boards. They have a forum for non-sports as well.
  16. Been awhile since I've bought any art. Scott Dalrymple - Taarna - Heavy Metal.
  17. Just some cheap readers. Well, the Eerie #81 is really nice though.
  18. As a Pat's fan, I really like this week's inside joke.
  19. Was this FedEx Ground? Never had any major issues with FedEx Air, but ground delivered my package to the wrong address twice in row. Was lucky that they were able to retrace their steps and recover them.
  20. All this leads to wonder, who will buy all these collections we're all piling up now?
  21. I tried to get my son involved. For awhile, he enjoyed reading TNMT books, but he lost interested around 12 or so. Kids these days don't need comics (or baseball cards) like us old timers did. They got cable TV, DVR, streaming, video games, mobile devices, etc.. Don't blame them actually.
