  1. Tec 410 is in the 10th place bracket as well. It was a rush job to slap this list together so I think I might have copy/pasted over. The micro font size this book is using isn't helping either.
  2. OK. Here you go. The CORRECTED 2017 Top 10 most expensive books from the Neal Adams Bats run. Sorry about that. While not everyone may agree with their pricing, I think we can come to a consensus that it's darn shame they don't at least recognize Tec 395 as a key. Considering it's 9th place finish with all the other Adams drawn books in the Tec series, it's considered a "common". Of note, Bats #200 listed as $285 in 9.2, but I've excluded it from the top 10. Despite the Adams cover, I'm not sure this book is technically part of the "real" run. If you think it is, drop off BB 79 and substitute, which is another darn shame as I think BB 79 is not only an underrated book, but a key as well.
  3. WOAH! HOLD THE PRESSED EVERYONE! The data i pulled off of HA must not have finished updating or something. I just got the new edition today and the numbers I have in the printed edition are NOT the above . 227 is still on top, albeit sharing that spot with another book. I'll update the table as soon as I get home. Sorry about that.
  4. LOL. I have a couple of OSPGs from the late '70s/early '80s laying around somewhere. Everything I flip through, it blows my mind.
  5. Yeah, the pricing is screwy. I'm guessing they are not considering any graded sales and only focusing on raw. Had to adjust the top 10 a bit. Forgot about Tec 405. This the only "key" book that I don't have slabbed.
  6. Love that book. I think I have about 2-3 mid grade copies to go along with the 9.6 I have. Gave up trying to complete the short Kirby run of 11 in high grade though. I am never going to pay for the over inflated prices that Issue #7 is going for these days.
  7. Nope. Not high grade (or good PQ for that matter), but great reading fun and at about .65 cents per book for the entire run of 28 regular issues and 3 annuals, I can't really complain. Marvel's John Carter and Micronauts were my favorite of the Marvel wave of "new series" that surged in the late '70s where it seemed like every other month they were coming out with a new title. Alas, like Micronauts, the series didn't last very long, but the first half of the run was exceptionally drawn and written. The Eagle award the title got was well deserved, plus Dejah Thoris was drawn very hot through out. Marvel really skirted the line on this for a code approved book.
  8. Of course, I would LOVE to pay the above prices for these books in the stated condition
  9. Haven't rec'd my copy of the 2017 OSPG yet, but I've looked at some of the updated prices for the books I track. I thought it was interesting to note that Bats 232 has finally taken over the top spot as the number #1 Neal Adams Bats book in the run. I supposed it's been long over due, but Bats 227 is no longer king of the hill. Based on some of the sales over the last year, I think this is one case where I agree with OSPG (at least as far placement is in concerned). Anyway, here's the top 10. I still think they are underestimating Tec 395 though. Maybe there just isn't enough sales recorded over the course of the year. This book is very tough to come by in high grades.
  10. I am really surprised this book is not in greater demand compared to other GA books with Bats and Supes.
  11. My first exposure to Martin Landau was Space 1999. As hokey as that show was, he was great in it. Great actor. Was really happy to see him finally get the recognition he deserved when he played Bela Lugosi in Ed Wood. RIP, Sir.
  12. RIP. A real icon in the horror genre.
  13. Horrible.. . . . . . . . . I'd still hit it through
  14. This cover always brought a smile to my face. Finally got a copy.
  15. Just came in today. Although I love Superman, I don't read or collect any of the books (World's Finest is about as close as it gets). As I pulled the trigger on this, it occurred me that this is the first Supes title I've bought in over 40+ years. Had to have it for the cover alone.
  16. RIP to Joan. Quite a blessed life. To be honest, I'm REALLY concerned about Stan now. To lose someone so close who has been with you for so long, it's more than some folks can take. Especially for someone of his age.
  17. Great book. One of my favorites from my previous collection. Yet another reason to regret selling off my collection in the early '80s.
  18. Yeah. Saw that when it was first posted. Not surprised at the final hammer price actually. Tough black cover. Thought about pursuing the upgrade myself, but I thought it was just too soft looking for a 9.4 and not all that much better than my 9.0. Certainly a lot spine ticks for a 9.4. This is a lousy pic from the original seller of my copy with a lot of artifacts (white speckles) from the scanner, but you can still get a sense of how the book looks, which is pretty darn good in hand. I would have gave it at least a 9.2.
