I love how Cole's lovers aren't holding back.  This is some serious smoochin:

Anybody holding this cover proof?  The image from Heritage is old and all pixelated :( Besides having some waviness at the time.

    For example...

First two polls are up.  I'll do the next two tomorrow.

I did attempt to split up the better covers amidst each of the poll groups.  The top 5 from each group will move into Round 2 where will crown the winner.

I eliminated 3 comics from the list because of the limit to only 20 books in each poll.  I chose these for having the least amount of LB Cole art

#3 should be there, but it wouldn't win anyhow.

Thanks a TON for doing this!!!(thumbsu

Love pulp?  Heaven knows I don't want to set any delicate personalities on edge by bandying the term around, but I'd say so :D

Not actually in my physical collection, but a fellow scanner picked this up for me and sent me the raw scans to skirt the international shipping costs, as I like the cover (artist unknown).  Twice a month schedule, the Miracle Library from Fleetway looks to be a mix of romance and crime or suspense:

Miracle Library 0241 - I'll Share Your Danger (1959.Fleetway) cover (Darwin Edit)

This cover is cool.  It reminds me somewhere between a Ziff Davis cover and a foreign 50's movie poster.  I know that's random, but between what I collect it's how my mind works.

There was a discussion of Cole Romance cover popularity as a result of the recent Heritage sale of True to Life Romance 11.

I will set up a poll for that, with the following approach:

Pick your 10 favorites out of all 83 Cole Romance covers.

    Deadline Midnight Sunday

I have scans ready for all the covers to make it easy to participate.

    Thoughts?

I'm all in, gonna have some tough decisions to make....

Strong price on the Horrors #13, but of course, very high grade. I have always considered that a sleeper book. I love the cover. Cole didn't do a lot of "gothic horror" type covers like this one. Perhaps Horrors #13 will start getting recognition.

As you said, the Power #4 looks like a really good deal.

That's not a bad price for the STT #11.  It's a tougher book above 4.0.  I like the cover to #12, but when you compare the prices between #11 (5.0) and #12 (7.5), it makes #11 look like a deal.

Suspense #11 has lagged behind, especially when compared to its devil brethren Mask #2. I think that the bright yellow cover might be holding it back.

WOW on the True To Life Romances. Very solid price.  I'm not aware of how scarce that book is, but I don't recall seeing it often.

If it helps any, just for an idea...

No copy has more than 20 on the census in the run, many are in single digits with some in the teens.
