I have seen that before and recently jumped at the chance to send in a comic for the 2019 avengers label. Ill let you know how it works out but technically if its available then it should be fine. They did also add to the top that the only labels available are the ones that can be chosen so once again some show up and can be chose.

    What book are you subbing?

I posted it on 'Ask CGC', will update if they respond. Very nice if it's legit. My question mostly is on why it doesn't consistently appear on all Campbell books. Also, it forces you to send in separate invoices if you don't want the new label on the other book.

  2. Question on the J Scott Campbell signing.

On some books you can use the old retired labels (e.g., Avengers. Capt Marvel, Thor, Daredevil), but on some just the new ones.

Example: Capt Marvel #1 variant A thru E covers you can add the Capt Marvel label, Avengers #1 2014, only the new ones show up.

Is there any selection logic to this, or are the old labels an ordering bug?

  3. Question on the J Scott Campbell signing, perhaps CGC can chime in.

I can't believe it! Someone wrote all over my comics.

    My first two submissions

Nice books, were these pressed or just old school straight up submissions?

I sometimes wish this and the sketch thread was the selling forum.

Also, don't know how long this has been listed...but it's one of my favorites for quite awhile. Every couple of months I like to send him an offer for like $4.00, $5.00, etc...

This is my favorite part of the description: "Comic will be hand-delivered to you at a bank within 10 miles of a major US airport of your choice" lol

He sends out $80 offers to watchers once in a while.

  6. Swapping will more likely to exhibit cracking than excess glue, probably shaken-book-syndrome if anything. And yes, not a good use of time for a hundred dollar book.

Those justice league or whatever guys could 'decimate a solar system'?  I call BS.
Also I call extra BS that guys who could destroy a mere solar system would have the power to defeat someone with THE POWER OF THE ENTIRE UNIVERSE.
DC often has trouble with issues of scale-

And this scene was actually happening at the "beginning of time". Wolfman must been on some powerful stuff when he did this thing.

For what it's worth, I hope Batman's dialog gave you "hope" and "courage" :roflmao:

That’s a convenient excuse for some who don’t wish to follow the guidelines.  It is not true.

Those who truly and actively look at the guidelines and the evidence behind them know which of the ideas have strong evidence and logic behind them and which don’t.

Some don’t care to do so because they are either lazy or so entrenched in their own ideas of what should be and should not be, that they couldn’t care less about evidence or logic.

And a society not based on utilizing ideas backed by evidence and logic is an apathetic and dangerous society, imo.

This pandemic brings out the genius in everyone. Scientific proof or not, people will still believe in what they want, even find a reason to believe in the unproven to support their ideals. Its sad but logic, reasoning and evidence has flown out the window.

Block at your own discretion. Here’s the facts on djgr-55:

    1) He bought book when I was exiting town. I told him immediately it would be a week before I could ship. I told him I would cancel if he didn’t want to wait, he said he’d wait.

    2) 3-4days later my trip got extended by nearly a week so I reached out to him and told him the situation. I said I would throw a freebie in the shipment if he wanted to keep, or I would cancel if he wanted. I’ve apologized several times at this point because I admit, I was the source of the inconvenience...but had tried to make good as best I could...

    3) He sends hostile and rude messages, accusing me of running a scam. He requests a refund, in not so kind words. I immediately cancel the order. He persists on harassing me indicating that he hasn’t received the money yet (I can’t control eBay, and he was expecting to see his money in his account seconds after cancellation). I sent screenshot proving I cancelled the order.

    4) He sends more insulting messages and then leaves negative feedback.

Was I blameless in this instance? Despite it being unintentional, no.

Did I do everything to make good? Yes.

Would I have left negative feedback if I were in his shoes? No.

Would I have acted like a 14yr old if I were in his shoes? No.

So, use your own discretion...but after 13yrs I received my first negative feedback on eBay. I’m a little bitter about it...

I understand that some sellers do this for the hobby and is not their full time job. A few buyers are just impossible/unreasonable and feel privileged. Ask eBay to look at the communication history and remove the neg feedback.

Didn't find any of these around here... but keep an eye out.

For the first time in a long time, a Lego set was recalled and will not be released.  A few sets were already shipped around the nation and have been put out.

    https://www.thebrickfan.com/lego-technic-bell-boeing-v-22-osprey-42113-release-potentially-cancelled/

Long story short, the v22 Osprey is primarily a real modern world military vehicle which is something they never do... They reconsidered and pulled it after some sets already shipped.

Be on the lookout at Target, Walmart and the like.   You will NOT find this at your Lego store.

    LEGO 42113

The is already hitting up to $1600 on the secondary market.

They can be sold... but competition is fierce... If someone in the stockroom knows that a box containing these $150 items are worth ten x that each... they might never hit the floor.

I thought they cancelled it before the Aug 1 release?
