  1. My #114 is as deep and bright a pink as the scan. Here are scans of a couple more of my World's Finest books:
  2. The anatomy of any beings other than human females seemed to be of little interest to Matt Baker.
  3. Always a mistake, and one I've scrupulously avoided. Oh no! Is that the beautiful book from page three of this thread now unjustly imprisoned in plastic?
  4. Here are scans of three more of my Lone Ranger books: 44 48 52
  5. Here are scans of my two entries in the Fox sweepstakes, both of which have covers printed on glossy stock: Rulah 18 Zago 2
  6. I love those pre-code Atlas books, particularly Heath or Maneely ones, of any genre! (thumbs u
  7. Here are scans of three more of my Brave & the Bold books: Northland copy
  8. Here are scans of my last two Capt. Storm books: I don't have any other ones.
  9. He's not interested in my kind of collection though. None of the individual pieces are so expensive that they're newsworthy. The whole thing is just a long-time labour of love.
  10. How about "You know the one in which Hal Jordan gets a power ring".
  11. Yay to two more Green Lantern films! Hopefully one will feature Star Sapphire. Twould be nice too to see both Hal and Alan Scott battle Solomon Grundy. (thumbs u
  12. I love that Tor! That's the first time I've seen it in colour. Here are scans of two of the "rarest" books in my collection: Atomic War 2 Atomic War 4
  13. I have wondered why WF #91 is less scarce than all the issues around it? A simple answer would be about differing print runs but that seems unlikely to me. Unless it's just that I happen to have seen more of #91 than other numbers around it! Don't know, but that certainly is a nicer one than generally seen! (thumbs u
  14. This was either recycled into or from a Turok cover. Hmmmmmm. Well the composition and feel does indeed resemble Four Color 596 which came out four years earlier:
  15. Cool! I'm a fan of any cover featuring Batwoman, Bat-Girl or Bat-Hound! That dour killjoy Julius Schwartz eliminated those characters in 1964 upon becoming editor of the Batman titles. (thumbs u
  16. I think I'm among the biggest fans of the Howdy Doody run on this board. Here are scans of four of my File copies: 13 20
  17. I've always loved the cover of #83. From the days when comics weren't afraid to be comics! I also have a thing for bright pink covers and #91 does the job for me on that score. (thumbs u
  18. Here are a couple more scans of World's Finest books from my collection:
  19. Russ Heath did some fabulous war books for DC. He's my second favourite DC war genre artist after Joe Kubert with Ross Andru being third. Well if you like war comics you might like these even though they're not by Heath:
  20. Methinks it was more the case that the editors at DC were dainty to the point of being supercilious.
  21. Me I'm not greedy. I just want one really nice copy of whatever books I like.
  22. Here are scans of my Hawkman from my collection of the Brave & the Bolds showcasing Hawkman: My favourite two covers of the lot are #35 and #42.
