  1. Cool! It's now more of a comic room as opposed to just a room with a comic cabinet. (thumbs u
  2. Wow! Now that looks like a comfy place to spend most of a day! Do you have any before pictures you can juxtapose with an after picture?
  3. I'm still upset though about the Blackhawks loss in overtime in game seven against the Vancouver Canucks.
  4. The best thing about this set released by Fleer in 1965 is actually the wrapper, although the cards themselves are pretty good: The set sold well enough to spawn a sequel;
  5. Okay. Let me try again then. Here's a title that's only mentioned by doddering old codgers when they're deep within their cups:
  6. What about funny animal books then? You didn't either specifically exclude them nor did you specifically include them.
  7. Here's my set of three Star Sapphire covers:
  8. Here I am hanging out on my front porch with Deuce and Balticboy: It was the day The MAN took off to Wasaga Beach without taking us along! Here he is at a chip wagon called Foxy's Lunch by the side of the road on the way to Wasaga where he stopped for some poutine: He said he was attacked and almost eaten alive by mosquitos that day. Well it serves him right. He was lucky it wasn't bears that attacked him.
  9. There's an interesting background story to the following cards from my collection. The cards were based on Hammer Horror Films and first released under the name Shock Theater when test marketed in the States in 1975: The set had two number 17 cards but no number 47 card. Some of the images were changed and most of the captions ended up being altered and the set was then released in the U.K. in 1976 under the name Shock Theatre. Both number 17 cards were changed to number 47.
  10. Here are some closeup scans of my 1967 Topps Terror Tales cards: I love the contrast between the fronts with their sickly greenish tinge and the bright pink backs. It's a very tough set to complete though.
  11. Okay. I'll do as you say then. Here's a superhero title:
  12. I'd say it's high time you got her a rocking horse then.
  13. How about these two then? Li'l Abner hasn't generated any buzz in decades.
  14. Here are scans of three of my favourite covers before the Legion run officially began:
  15. Here's a scan from my collection of a not often seen Charlton:
  16. I'm not always sitting at the table though. Here I'm resting up in the beanbag after a couple hours of door-to-door slot car racing with my buddy Deuce:
  17. Yes, with the exception of the Revell Surfite in the lower right of this picture which is a reissue from the late nineties that I'm using as a placeholder until I find an original.
  18. Here are scans of some of my Spook Theatre/Stories cards, stickers and wrappers: The Spook Stories were the first non-sport cards I collected aggressively as a kid.
  19. Here are scans of some of my Topps Space cards from 1957 showing more of the detail: \ And here are scans of some of my Topps Outer Limits cards:
  20. I'll post some scans of the wonderful 1960 Leaf Foney Ads set that was a precursor to the Wacky Ads though. Here are scans of the precursor sets to the Topps Wacky Packages. The first is the Leaf Foney Ads set that came out in 1960: The second is the Goodies Baloney Ads set which was a Canadian issue shortly thereafter: The Baloney Ads set was a blatant rip-off of the Foney Ads set. It includes a lot of the very same imagery found in the Foney Ads set but rather sloppily redrawn .
  21. It's a fashion statement on her part. She favours the grunge look.
  22. No. Those two records are based on the"Big Daddy" Roth line of fink kits that Revell issued. There is a Weird-Ohs album as well though but sadly I don't have one - yet: Those two pics of The MAN were taken at Jungle Cat World in Orono just northeast of Toronto.. Jungle Cat World Meerkats are very cool! I'd have some as friends were there any around here.
