This is not a Hitler cover, nor even a GA book, but I wanted to post it in at least a related location where I know collectors would appreciate the significance.
I picked this up today from Al Stolz of Basement Comics. A 1969 spanish language comic book about Israel's capture and execution of Adolf Eichhman.
Anyone ever seen it before?
I'd love to see some inside pages of this. Does Elie Wiesel get the full hero treatment?
I don't know Spanish, but my wife is fluent and our au pair is from South Amerrica. I'll have them translate for me and see if I can post any intriguing pages.
mark, please don't get in trouble with the au pair with the double entendre thread.

here's another complete run, but not all slabbed. it's that water-guy.
Billy I might have asked this before but what's the grade on the #32?
Surfer, it's an unrestored 6.5'ish. i got Ricky's undergrade when he moved up to the book he had before he got into the Okajima.
Very, very nice. Want to move to a nice 5.5?
i'm actually on the phone to ricky as i read this and fear i broke his eardrum when i howled with laughter--very cute, indeed.

Mr. B, and Ryan thank you for sharing! Wonderful books! I would love to have either one.
Paul
Paul, are you collecting this guy yet? just went up on group shot, and he swam over here for love as well.
To get that photo were you doing that ceiling hanging trick your brother Peter taught you? Nice run Parker!
nah, the only thing he taught me was that thing with the liquid webbing.
Just remember that your daddy taught you how to use that pool table. What do you owe me now?
So would that make Parker my grandson?!
Because I am clearly your Daddy!
it really says something when one realizes that the most disgusting thing in the picture is the steeler's super bowl faux championship t-shirt.

I'd choose the Marvel Mystery without a moments hesitation. What a fantastic cover!
true BZ, but did you see all those question marks and that amazing little wire contraption on the detective? want to reconsider?

This is my first ever all slabbed complete run

I am now an official Ken Shannon fan!
Damn you all - I don't need another title to start collecting
know the feeling; i decided i liked the painted covers on some ziff-davis titles, and these two came in today. gotta have the whole, short run now.

Uh oh, october is afflicted with 3F ("Fox Fine Fever")...you're on a roll, pal!
STEVE
steve, looks like i've contracted it as well; going after the first 12 mystery men now, since mrbedrock put me on to my second one the other day.
Ahhh, congrat's Billy - I thought it was a real beauty and was sorely tempted to get it myself (but then I'd be back in the Greedy SOB thread with two pedigree copies of the same book, and we can't have that!).
STEVE
steve, one of mine is an allentown, and the other is of course the nova scotia of which you speak--since you know this area well, what are the chances i could find recognized p'grees of the other 10? i guess the 1 would require a third mortgage on the house [second was for the marvel 1, natch].

Another fine book from the fine folks at Metropolis. Thanks Vincent

I won a mini grail of mine tonight on Ebay. One of my very favorite covers. Sweet copy to boot.
that fonky staple sure isn't hurting anything with it in a slab, now is it? about the best looking 6.0 on record.

Here's a Church copy that just leaps off the page at you:
what a beaut!

Bottom edge looks weird.....almost like there is another cover under the first.
great eye!

When I started collecting comics again about 4 years ago, I said Paul just focus on Silver age Marvel, and DC's Showcase title. Keep my interests small in hopes of completing nice full silver age runs. Quickly that expanded into a few more DC titles and most early bronze and all bronze keys.
When last year I decided after completing 95% of my marvel, and huge chunks of DC at least keys and short and or early runs, to collect GA Timely's, I thought cool I can stay focused on these few titles. Captain America, MMC, All Select, All Winners, and all GA Cap books. That should be more than enough to keep me busy for the next 20 years. I was so wrong, since joining the boards I have found myself interested in so many diff. books my head is spinning. So I just picked up my first two Planet Comics in high grade VF- range issue 50, and 55! I will post pics later next week when they arrive. Very excited, keeping up with my new found interests and the Jones's is expensive!
That's the same way Billy Parker started out. So look at his collection and see yourself in ten years! A broke, surly, bitter old man with one incredible assortment of comics!
you may be right; and don't call me Surly!

Actually, Billy, all kidding aside.......AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!
here's a little group i put over on the gerber 7 thread a little while ago; in keeping with the 'got it from bedrock' theme, i do believe that 2 came from you, sir.

Well, it seems like a good time to post books, now that BangZoom is taking some time off... is there really any point posting books at the same time he is?
Thanks to CentaurMan for this WONDERful book ... a really nice low grade copy of a rare book. (i'm using his scan, as its way nicer than the results i'd get). The interior art is really nice, and the Wonderman story just cracks me up... its classic golden age. The Bob Kane story is a beaut.
A great cornerstone in my small collection!!

and ryan, put this bad boy over on the new gerber 7 or rarer thread while you're at it.

one-too-many-zeroes typo on the cap 10? or did you really try to slide a silver age book by us?

How about a couple boxes of Timely's?
