  1. Corners see less than square. Some kind of color break on the TLFC one. There's something on the back cover. I'd guess 9.2±0.2, although it matters when it was graded. The standards do seem to have shifted over time.
  2. Signed by Ramos 2/2023. First appearance of Silk
  3. From the album: Signed & Sketched books

Signed by Ramos 2/2023. First appearance of Silk
  4. Front cover looks like it has some waviness & the top edge looks like there's a bend or the start of a crease. You photo chops out parts of the back cover, so I can't fully provide analysis, but there is a white something near Carnage's hand along the spine. I'd cap this a 8.0, maybe 8.5 if pressing flattened out the indentions or whatever is going on.
  5. I'm not a foxing expert, but the spot around the CCA box looks like it could be a stain, not foxing. If CGC says it's staining, 5.5. If it's foxing, I'm still more like a 6.0 with a chance at 6.5 with c/p. White giveth & white taketh away. It looks to me like the white background is hiding some spine stress and other wear.
  6. Looks like a tear with the possibility of a piece coming off. Maybe a 2nd small tear below. I'd say 9.2 ceiling and I'd guess 9.0 b/c this is a newer book and CGC seems to have less tolerance for damage when the book is from later eras
  7. I'm at 4.5 on this one too. Spine is kind of gnarly to go with the crease. Looks like the staples might be rusting a bit. Check the centerfold for rust transfer to the paper
  8. Me 3 at a 4.5. ill only add there appears to be some tearing around the bottom staple.
  9. Around 8.0. the black background especially along the spine on both sides shows every stress line, plus there's some color rub/scuffing on the back with a dinged corner. The signature will lead to a Green label at CGC since they didn't witness it. Some collectors will be hesitant to pay the same $$$ for a Green label compared to a Yellow signature series. Other companies offer signature verification for books were the signing was not observed by the company
  10. Around 5.0 b/c you have a chip out on the FC and what looks like a tape pull or similar on the BC. Add in some creasing, especially the TRFC, & edge wear and I can't see this getting out of the VG range.
  11. 9.0/9.2 There is another comic grading company that will verify signatures if label color is important. Zeck's signature is pretty distinct and you know it's provenance, so goof chance it would be verified.
  12. Looks like a blunted corner in the photo, however, the CGC guide has small bindery tears meriting 9.2-9.6. My observations is that CGC's definition of small is really small. The same could be said of many of the ways they weigh productions issues. It's not that they don't count as defects, they just count less. They also seem to be more forgiving of production problems from earlier eras of history. This is a pretty new by those standards, even though it's +20 years old. The guide also says over a certain length, they just start treating bindery tears like run-of-the-mill tears. My guess is that a 9.6 bindery tear would be barely perceptible, so I'll stick with my guess of a 9.4 max.
  13. 5.5ish. You could use the spoiler feature for an added layer of nsfw protection, but I've no issues
  14. 7.5/8.0 Those creases on the corners are small but apparent. I've heard this is one of those books they can treat a little more harshly than average.
  15. I'd be more worried about the bottom spine corner. 9.2/9.4
  16. I'll stick with a 5.5 max. Inside pages look fine, there's definitely more foxing/tanning on the bottom inside of the back cover than I'd want to see before signing off on something higher, but it could happen
  17. Enough spine stress marks to get me down to 7.5ish
  18. I see something to the right of LEGO on the spine. As for the miscut that's a production defect & treated differently. With production defects that are slight, it can have no impact on the grade. When the production defects start to impact the aesthetics of the book, then you will start to see reductions. I would go with 9.0/9.2 as this really looks like the publisher bar is going downhill. I have a Wolverine 1 (graded a long time ago) with a miscut at 9.2 & recently got a 9.0 on another book that the wrap was off & no notes about other defects.1/4" is the range where they start to ding miswraps, and I'll get it's in that same neighborhood with other cover production defects.
  19. The lighting makes this really tough. It looks to me like there's darkness around the inside edges that isn't shadows, so I'm hesitant to commit without some better photos.
  20. 3.5±0.5. The subscription crease looks pretty intense, plus additional edge wear throughout. Looks like dust/sun shadow along the top of the back cover. I *think* the dark edges at the bottom of the back cover are just shadows, but if not that would be an issue too.
  21. 3.0/3.5 the color breaking subscription crease, ink transfer? around the title, tears, maybe some staple rust, and what seems like significant tanning of the paper are going to be limiting. I'd want to know about the brittleness of the paper between the discoloration & tearing.
