  1. 7.5.. Too many color breaking stress lines.
  2. Will depend on whether the crease is a printer crease or a regular one. Regular crease 4.5, as high as 5.5 if it's a printer crease
  3. 6.0. Maybe squeak higher with some work on the white areas
  4. Just those unfortunate stress lines on an otherwise very nice book. 8.0, maybe an 8.5.
  5. 6.0. I think the discoloration knocks it down
  6. Hard to say with the waviness. Sometimes it's counted as a manufacturing defect b/c of how they're glued. The last picture looks like there's a long crease down the center, but it's not visible in other images.
  7. From the album: Magazines submitted 2022/2023

    moisture again
  8. As a yellow label, you're options are limited. You have to use CCS unless you have a strategy to get additional signatures at a convention. CCS doesn't seem to use the full toolbox in their work. The visible defects break color & can't be fixed anyway. Anecdotally, CGC grades come back the same without something improvable with something done to make that fix. I think there's some consideration of what the slab says when it comes in. I'd reholder & be done with it.
