  1. Hello @Anthony Ruttgaizer, There are a few options in this case. Unfortunately, once a package leaves our facility, no changes can be made to the delivery for insurance purposes. Once the package is returned (and for any future submissions), you can set the delivery address to a FedEx office near you for your pick-up. This option can not be added en route, however. Also, if you have a PO Box, we can have these shipped to your PO Box using USPS instead. I hope this helps! Let us know if you have any other questions!
  2. Great question! @Ehnz In the case of Unlimited Value tier books, if the book is drastically undervalued, our graders will still bump the grading fee according to the FMV of the book. So in the scenario you mentioned, if this was the case, our graders would bump the pricing accordingly. I am sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

  5. Hello @Sid2024, The online form is unable to display available grading credits. The membership credit is valid for 1-year from the date of purchase and will automatically apply to any regular CGC fees. You will receive your invoice number(s) when your order has been processed at the CGC office. No charges will be processed until your order is received in our facility. Any available member credits will be applied automatically before processing the charge. Sorry for the confusion!

  8. @MultiSig Mike, Great question! If a book with a custom label is returned for a reholder service the original custom label is discarded and a new label is printed. If you have a retired custom label, this will not be able to be reprinted and added to your book, unfortunately. If you have a currently available custom label then you will need to select that option on the submission form when adding your book to the submission form. Thanks for your understanding.
  9. Currently we do not have plans to unretire this X-Men Label. This custom label was an option for a full year which is the timeline of our regular (non-event exclusive) custom labels. While we may bring it back down the line, depending on the popularity, until then, we will be releasing other new custom labels as well. Be on the lookout for new labels being announced soon. Grading fees will vary depending on the grading tier you choose. There is no one set grading fee for everything. All the grading fees options can be viewed at here CGC Services & Fees | CGC (cgccomics.com). Choose a grading tier based on the declared insurance value you list for your book.  Each tier has a maximum declared value amount that can be listed per book to qualify for that tier.  If a book value exceeds that maximum, then a higher tier must be selected. The higher the value of your book the higher the grading fee.   The value we ask for is an insurance value, the amount you would feel comfortable with in terms of a replacement value if the book was lost or damaged. We encourage you to be conservative as we do not reimburse if it has been over-valued. If a book were grossly under-valued, we would contact you to bump the book to a higher grading tier and you would just pay the difference in the grading fees at that time. The declared value amount will also directly affect the return shipping fees for registered mail.  You can find the return shipping fees online at Shipping Your Collectibles To / From CGC.   16. Great question! When you fill out the reholder option, you should have the ability to select the Pedigree button and select from the drop-down the Pedigree request. These will be reviewed by our graders and be updated as needed. Please be sure to note on the packing slip that they are being returned to be reviewed for their pedigree designation as this was originally submitted before being recognized as a Pedigree by CGC.   17. Great Question! Congrats on the find! First, I would like to confirm that, except for missing parts, printing errors such as this do not affect the grade of a comic. But, depending on the grade and severity of the error, the book may receive a qualified grade. Either way, this error would be noted on the label. The book will then continue through the process with the rest of the submission it was originally submitted with.   19. Good Question! You will not be able to renew your account until April but you can Upgrade your membership to the next tier of service. If you do, you will receive a new expiration date and that membership credit as well. I am sorry for the confusion. Also, you will receive an email in March reminding you of the renewal, if you renew during that renewal period (30 days), you will not receive a new expiration date. For example, if your account expired on 4/1/24 and you renewed using the reminder email on 3/1/24, your new expiration date then would still be 4/1/2025. Let me know if you have any other questions.

  21. Great question! This button is used if a customer is resubmitting an already encapsulated CGC collectible for a new service (like an In House Signing or a Press and Regrade). This allows customers to enter in the certification number instead of the book info to make it easier to find the specific book from our drop-down menu. This also quickens the receiving process once we have the book in house. Let us know if you have any other questions!
  22. Hello! Usually, this means the book was just shipped from our office in the last week or two. Our Census report is updated once a week. As this just left our facility, please check back on that census data on 2/14. At that time, the census report update will have been processed. Thanks for your patience! So you know, even if the book is a one-of-one, it would still list the census data once it has been made available. Sorry for the confusion!
  23. Great question! If a fee is bumped for a specific book, the book will remain with the rest of the submission the grading, encapsulation, and shipping. You will not be charged an additional shipping fee in this case. Let us know if you have any other questions.

As a reminder, this value will also be the value the book is insured for while it is in our custody and in the return shipping back to you. Because of this, we suggest not undervaluing your collectible. As for the resources we use for these values, we use several different sources but can not confirm specifics as to which we will use for Pulps. I am sorry for the inconvenience.
