  1. While some popular labels may return in the future (like how the ASM New York has returned) there are no guarantees, or list of these that will be returning in the future. Because of this, if there is a label you like, be sure to get it before it's gone! Thanks for checking!

    FED EX

@mikeledo, Thank you for contacting us. If you are shipping to our office you can use any shipping method to have this delivered to us. You do not need to use FedEx to ship us your items. However, for the return, we will mainly use FedEx of return. If you would prefer this ships back via USPS, the return address listed for your submissions will need to be a PO Box. Otherwise, it will be shipped back via FedEx. These methods are used specifically for insurance purposes and to ensure our customers do receive their collectibles after shipping. If you have submissions in the process you would like to update the address on, please contact us via email with the submission number and new address. Thanks for your understanding!
  3. @Ludaen, Yes they are. Thanks for checking!
  4. @jerico88, Thanks for your patience! This book was rejected from our services because of its size. If we had encapsulated this copy it would have been damaged by the encapsulation process. When this occurs the grading fee is credited to your account. I have just processed a refund for that reject fee that was credited since this was rejected for a different reason. This will be back on your card in the next 3-5 business days. Sorry for the confusion!
  5. Hello @bonez_mccoy, Thanks for contacting us. I just replied to your Text messages. If you have any other questions, please let me know!
  6. Hello @DK1, Unfortunately, without the book in hand for our graders to review, we can not confirm the final grade of the book described. This is because the book must be reviewed as a whole. If the book without the crease would receive a 9.2/9.4 an additional crease that runs 1/2 inch would be significant. I have attached an excerpt from the grading guide I am sure you already reviewed but this is one of the better explanations of what to look for and consider. Additionally, please check out pages 286-289 for more information about creases this size as well as some examples. I hope this helps. Thanks for your understanding. Excerpt Page: 148 In addition to its location and severity, a crease's effect on grade is determined by its length, or in the case of multiple creases, accumulated length. A diagonal one-inch crease that breaks color on the front cover can lower a grade to 8.0, while the same length of crease along the edge of the back cover can achieve 8.5. A reader's crease the full length of a comic book's spine will be treated less severely than a subscription crease of the same length through the middle of the cover. If that subscription crease is heavily hinged, its impact on grades will be even more severe.
  7. Hello @DK1 Yes this is fine AS LONG AS THE BOX DOES INCLUDE A UV SUBMISSION. If there is not a UV submission in this package and it is pulled for processing, your orders will be delayed because our team will need to contact you to verify if anything is missing in the package. Thanks for checking!
  8. Hello @dbcn! Sorry for the delay in getting back to you! I was out of the office. Yes, you can resubmit MEs after the initial return. To do this, you will need to use the most recent submission/invoice number the book was returned with followed by the line item number as the certification number. Let me know if you have any other questions.
  9. Hello, Unfortunately, our stance on these pedigrees has not changed. You can review this HERE or below. I am sorry for the inconvenience. The collection must be of vintage material: This means that a large collection consisting of comics from the 1970s to present cannot be considered a pedigree. In fact, until the sale of some key White Mountain books in a Sotheby’s auction in the early 1990s, Silver Age comics were not accepted as pedigree collections. Comic books from 1966 and after are relatively common in high grade compared to earlier issues. This occurred as a direct result of a tremendous explosion in the number of collectors in fandom in the mid-1960s. Collections that are primarily from 1966 and after must have average grades of at least 9.4 to be considered a pedigree.
  10. Unfortunately, we do not have a public list of what labels will be expiring yet. This will be announced when our new custom labels are announced, however. That said, I would suggest not waiting until then to submit for these custom labels. There is usually a dash to get submissions in when this is announced as it will be the last chance for most of those labels pictured HERE. This will likely cause a delay for your submission. Thanks!
  11. Hello! Currently CGC Does not grade posters such as this one. We currently only accept concert posters as mentioned HERE. We will only encapsulate a poster outside of this set of concert posters if it is submitted through our services as a print AND CGC witnesses the signature. In the case of this The Maxx poster, we would not be able to encapsulate this and it would be returned to you as is. I am sorry for the inconvenience.
  12. Thank you for contacting us. Carrier tracking may indicate that your submission has been received at our office, however it can still take a short amount of time to reflect within our online submission tracking. All packages received move into an intake process where the contents are inventoried and compared against the submission form as validation before moving forward into the grading process. Should there be any discrepancy encountered with an item itself, a missing or extra item, or any other concern for that matter, our customer service team will reach out for clarification accordingly. Please note, the intake process can take upwards of 7-10 business days before the order will reflect within online submission tracking. Thanks for your patience! Please let us know if you have any additional questions.

  14. Hello @Sebastsk8 Great question! Yes, we will review this book for its Newsstand Edition directly. I am sorry for the confusion this has caused. Let us know if you have any other questions!
  15. Hello, Thanks for checking! No CGC does not grade hard covers. Regards!
  16. We have graded some ESPN Magazines which you can find HERE. That said, please be sure to check your book before submitting. If this does not fall within the following dimensions: 11-1/2" tall x 8-7/8" wide x 1/2" thick we would not be able to encapsulate this magazine. Thanks for checking!
  17. Hello, If you have a double-cover comic, we would suggest leaving this attached instead of removing it. Most double covers have a higher collectability to them. CGC will grade both covers and represent these grades on the label. Whichever book has a higher grade usually is the final grade the book receives. This is true as long as there are no additional defects on the interior of the book. That said, if one of the covers is restored it would be handled differently. Additionally, if the book was found to have a second cover added after the initial printing process this would be rejected. I hope this helps! Regards,
  18. Hello, Great question! You can learn more about this grade and others using our CGC Grading Guide HERE. Three scenarios can cause this grade; copies that exhibit an accumulation of extensive defects, copies that are missing a significant portion of the cover or interior, or both. Representing the bottom of the grading scale, there is almost no limit to the severity of any given defect in 0.5. As such, this grade can encompass a broader range of eye appeal. Besides missing pieces or parts, no one defect can lower a comic book down to 0.5 by itself. Staining comes close, but in 0.5 it has usually led to other defects like heavy color loss, rusty staple disintegration, or brittleness that together have a cumulative effect. Most often a complete 0.5 suffers from a myriad of defects that have marred the cover image and compromised the structural integrity, requiring gentle handling. Regarding missing parts from the cover, 1/3 or more of the front or back cover can be missing, often the top 1/3 of the front cover (called the masthead), which was ripped off and returned for credit on unsold newsstand copies back in the day. The full front or back cover is allowed missing in 0.5, but if both are gone the comic is considered coverless and will receive a NG (No Grade instead). All that said, if you would like this book to be reviewed for its current grade, this would need to be returned for a regrade through the paid service. We will not be able to make any guarantees of a possible grade without this in-house to be reviewed. Thanks for checking! .
  19. Hello, Unfortunately, we do not have a date when these will be back in stock. Because this could not be ordered, I have added a $25 credit to your account to be used on your next submission. I am sorry for the inconvenience. Thank you for your understanding!
  20. Hello @B.woodward, CGC uses several different sources to come to our FMV for declared values. These include actual sold listings by reputable dealers/auction houses and price guide sites. All of these are taken into account by our graders to review a collectibles FMV. There is no catch-all that our graders will use for every collectible due to the volatile nature of the collectible market. I am sorry for the inconvenience. Additionally, per our Declared Value Policy, this FMV will be determined by CGC in its sole reasonably exercised discretion. I hope this helps. Regards,
  21. All books receive our normal free imaging service for our certification look-up page. The Paid imaging service however is separate. These images are taken by our staff at high resolution for our customers to use for their own sales and promotional advertising. These are different images than what are taken free of charge and are emailed to the owners of the books directly 1-2 weeks after the submission has shipped. I am sorry for any confusion this has caused. Let us know if you have any other questions.
  22. Hello! We are sorry you ran into this problem. This is a measure we have implemented across all of our companies to prevent bots from crawling through our certification data allowing individuals to add comics to their registries that they do not own. We understand this can be frustrating for some of our customers, however, it is another way we protect our customers and their comics. The first helpful tip around this next time is to make sure you are logged in to your account while looking up this certification number. This will allow you to have more entries in the certification look-up and less wait time when you reach the limit. The second option is to use the census to look up the comics by their name and number first instead of by the certification number. You can do this using the link below. Finally, and the easiest option is to use your submission tracking page to review the grades of these books. Thank you for your understanding. Let us know if you have any other questions! https://www.cgccomics.com/census/
  23. Hello @Mojo's Dojo, Great question! We are still working on this part of our census. Unfortunately, we do not have a set timeline for this to be completed. I am sorry for the inconvenience. Thanks for your patience.
  24. Hey @WOLVERINE335, This is not information we can assist with. This will be moved back to the grading/restoration section. As for which side will face forward, our graders generally will face whatever page comes first forward in the slab. You can add a sticky note to the bag and board requesting a specific side facing forward but this will be up to our encapsulation team. I am sorry for the inconvenience.
  25. Hello! Sorry for the delay in getting back to you @Virtual On! You do not need to include a window bag in this case as the book is in an encapsulation. For the signing card, please tape this to the front or back of the encapsulation so our crack out team can keep it with the book when it is removed from its holder.
