  1. Sellers: exoticthrift305 in Miami, FL vintage_rock_n_roll in Fort Lauderdale, FL
  2. Thanks, that's really helpful. Any anecdotes on how others' orders are going helps paint a picture of what to expect, as the process hasn't exactly been transparent.
  3. Same copy of FF #33 for sale on eBay by two different accounts. Anybody wanna buy one, I'll buy the other, and we'll see who gets offered the refund first? Or should I buy both?
  4. WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Two years later we're at 200+ days!!!!! And yet it's business as usual over there? On the "plus" side, Fast Track is now a bigger value LOL
  5. When people submit 50 copies of the latest "hot" book, I wonder how many of that stack come back with accidentally swapped labels.
  6. Yep. I had two Spidey Vol. 2 #36 return to me (same submission), one 9.6, the other 9.8. The 9.6 looks better to me than the 9.8. Were the labels accidentally swapped at CGC? Who knows? After that, now I don't send dupes in the same submission, and instead split them between two different orders.
  7. Waiting over a year for books to get back is incredible.
  8. Yeah, I recently bought online my first Silver Age book that was advertised as "Cleaned/Pressed," and I was VERY disappointed with how the colors and paper quality looked in person. I don't feel right having it in my collection and may replace it. It looks...wrong. Is this common for cleaning, or symptomatic of cleaning done improperly?
  9. Your credit card will NOT refund any accrued interest. My head is spinning as well - I also keep close tabs on my accounts. That's why I'm not sending anything else to CGC until this is resolved. I can only keep track of so much! In another thread here, I did see that some people already got their Perez books back - even those that elected to get theirs graded without the signature. So things are moving. Right now my biggest frustration is waiting to be asked what I want to be done with the books that were also going to be pressed. The signature department said right now they would only be handling the part of my order that was not going to go through CCS. At least the larger part of my order - the non-pressed books - have moved to the grading department, per my submission status page.
  10. Early McFarlane doesn't equal value. See: Infinity, Inc. after his first issue. That said, GI Joe #60 is criminally undervalued.
  11. I was not aware of that Satan's Six book . Never thought I'd see a Kirby/McFarlane colab, but here it is.
  12. Maybe the Wolverine #1 if it is immaculate. Like, no dings or spine blemishes at all.
  13. That's really, really good to know that these are being prioritized. Also, it seems the ones that were going to be pressed in addition to graded were separated from those without pressing, and that the signature department is first dealing with the ones without pressing, then will deal with the ones that were to be pressed. I was also already charged for the pressing, nearly immediately upon CGC's receipt of my submission. I was not, however, charged for grading on those books, so I will only need a refund for the pressing fee.
  14. I finally got some answers/solutions from Signature Series dept, but only for the part of my order that wasn't scheduled to go through CCS. Apparently they prefer that you don't split your order between options (Grading, returned raw, sent to another signer), but will do it. I saved them the headache and chose the same option for all of the non-pressed books. The same day I informed them I wanted the non-pressed books to still be graded, their status on my submissions page went from in-house signing/grading to "Scheduled for grading - MODERN." So there's hope. Unfortunately, the signature department said they were currently only dealing with the non-CCS involved books, and for some reason couldn't help me right now with the books I had originally ordered to be also be pressed. I have yet to be contacted regarding what I want done with those books, and they are still marked as "in-house signing" on my submission page.
  15. I went to 2 LCS and thumbed through several main DC titles from the era - Flash, Batman, Detective, Green Lantern, Justice League, Action, and Superman - and found a grand total of ONE DC Universe variant, selling for a very slight premium (or just mildly overpriced). Since this thread made me aware of the variant, now I want to scour my collection for them. I'm sure I must have a bunch in there. Here is the grand prize for my LCS search, haha:
  16. This weekend's cheap modern newsies! Most recent: Green Lantern #125, cover date June 2000. Sorry crappy pix are crappy.
  17. Things like this I would rather deal with via email just for the paper trail. My nightmare is calling and then getting no update, only to later be told they have no idea what I'm talking about. In my line of work, we have a saying: "If it isn't written down, it didn't happen." That's why phone calls to CS are a no-go for me.

    Accounting

Wouldn't this be nice???? I would love to see this - an easily accessible, transparent detail of debits/credits on our account. I'm sure this would save the CS & Accounting departments a lot of time and headaches having to deal with related questions if the customers could actually see their accounts online. Most online retailers have this very feature. I wouldn't think it would be like asking for the moon.
  19. Check the UPC box. "Spider-Man Family"? REALLY?
